Il-paċi tal-frott

What does the Bible say about the fruit peace? The fruit peace is a peace that goes beyond all human understanding. The fruit peace is a peace that the world can’t explain or comprehend. The world can’t give you this peace. Ma jimpurtax kemm tipprova, or how many worldly methods you will apply, you will never find this peace. God is the only One, Who can provide you peace.

Il-paċi ta’ Alla, li jgħaddi kull fehim, Għandek iżżomm qalbek u moħħok permezz ta ’Kristu Ġesù (Filippin 4:7)

The Peacemaker

Jesus was the Peacemaker between God and man. He brought the Kingdom of God to the earth and therefore He produced the fruit peace and brought peace to this earth.

Ġesù fejjaq lil dawk kollha maħqurin mix-xitan, He healed all sickness and disease and He taught with authority (Aqra wkoll: ‘X’tip taʼ paċi ġab Ġesù fuq l-art?‘)

If Jesus was a Peacemaker, we should also be peacemakers on this earth. Għax aħna, il-kreazzjonijiet il-ġodda, are made in His image. We should walk like Jesus walked, and follow His example. We represent the Kingdom of God, and will bring the Kingdom of God to the people, and therefore we will bring peace to the people (Aqra wkoll: ‘Il-Paċemakers ta ’Alla‘).

Bringing peace by speaking the right words

When we bear the fruit peace, we will bring peace, calmness, and order instead of chaos. How can we bring peace to this earth? By speaking the right words of God, over someone’s life, then we will create peace.

When we speak evil about other people, our job, our church, eċċ. we will sow negative words of the devil, and reap destruction and turmoil. When we do this, then we are le the peacemakers, we should be. Therefore we must be careful with the words we speak.

The Kingdom of God is a Kingdom of peace

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; imma tjieba, u l-paċi, u ferħ fl-Ispirtu s-Santu (Rumani 14:17).

The earth was without form, and void before God brought harmony. God brought peace upon this earth. The beginning of creation represents His Kingdom; a Kingdom of peace, armonija, order, etc. After the creation, this peace that God created, tħarbat, because man disobeyed God’s commandment and believed the words of a serpent (an animal) minflok.

Adam and Eve listened to and obeyed the animal(ħolqien), instead of obeying God (their Father, and Creator).

Disobedience to God causes turmoil

Immediately after they disobeyed God, sin entered the world, and the spirit of man died. But God in His great mercy, had already a plan B and that was the promise of the seed that would bruise the serpent’s head. Jesus had to come, so that man would be reconciled to God, and that their spirit would become alive again. Jesus came to this earth, to create peace in the chaos of sin and iniquity. Għalhekk, Jesus is the Prince of Peace;

minn diżubbidjenza ta 'raġel wieħed saru midinbin

Għax lilna titwieled tifel, lilna jingħata iben: u l-gvern għandu jkun fuq spalltu: u ismu għandu jissejjaħ Wonderful, Kunsillier, L-Alla qawwi, Il-Missier ta’ dejjem, Il-Prinċep tal-Paċi (Isaija 9:6)

Jesus came to this earth to bring peace. The peace He brought was not an earthly peace, such as the Jews expected; freedom from the oppression of the Roman Empire. But Jesus came to bring heavenly peace.

He came to redeem people, from the oppression of the devil and restore the relationship between God and man. He gave back the authority (to the redeemed man), which was lost in il-ġnien tal-Għeden.

God promises peace

Għax naf il-ħsibijiet li naħseb lejk, jgħid il-Mulej, Ħsibijiet tal-Paċi, u mhux tal-ħażen, Biex nagħtik tmiem mistenni (Ġeremija 29:11)

God is the Author of peace (1 Korintin 16:11), God is our peace (John 16:33, Efesin 2:14, Kolossin 1:20). God said in Isaiah 48:18, that if they had given heed to His commandments, that their peace would have been like a river and their righteousness as the waves of the sea.

What should you do, if you don’t experience peace?

The opposite of peace is turmoil, which can be caused by i.e. worry. For example, when you worry about the future, or finances, thoughts will be running through your head. You will not experience peace but chaos.
The worries of the world will control your mind and your way of thinking in such a way, that it will kill the seed (il-Kelma) ta’ Alla. When the seed is killed, it won’t produce any fruit.

Thou will keep him in perfect peace

When you spend time with Jesus and study His Word, eventually your mind will line up with the Word. There will be a peace in your mind, li tgħaddi l-fehim kollu.

Every time a situation will try to get a hold on you, you will speak the Word of God and not let worry enter your mind. Every thought, that is not of the Lord will cause chaos, and must be taken captive in Christ Jesus; il-Kelma ta’ Alla.

Therefore the only way to experience peace, and bear the fruit peace is to know His Word, Obdi l-kmandamenti tiegħu, apply His Word to your life and walk in His Word.

Jesus specifically says, that we should not worry about our lives (Mat 6:25, Luqa 12:22). Paul confirms this once again in Phil 4:6 and said that we should not be worried about anything. That means in nothing.

Worry doesn’t belong in the life of a born again Christian.

Do you experience worry or anxiety?

When you do experience worry or anxiety, then I would like to urge you to begin to study the Word of God. Iġġedded moħħok Bil-Kelma ta ’Alla. Mur, Pereżempju, to Philippians 4:7 and read this verse over and over again. Start memorizing this verse and every time, when a thought comes up in your mind, that will try to create chaos and try to take away your peace, then say out loud:

I’m not worried, and I shall not worry about anything, because the peace of God, li jgħaddi kull fehim, shall keep my heart and mind through Christ Jesus”

the peace of God

Alla jgħid, that the wicked have no peace (Isaija 48:22). We don’t belong to the wicked anymore, because we have given our lives to our Lord Jesus Christ. We have received the Holy Spirit and therefore we will have peace.

Ġesù qal: “Peace I leave with you, Il-paċi tiegħi nagħtikom: Mhux kif tagħti d-dinja, Agħtik. Ħalli qalbek ma tkunx inkwetata, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27)

When you are too busy with the things of the world, and feed your mind with the things of the world, and don’t spend much time with God, fil-Kelma Tiegħu, then it won’t take long before you will be overtaken by worry, ansjetà, biżgħat, and turmoil. If you sow in the flesh, you will reap in the flesh.

Il-paċi tal-frott

Int se tibqa 'f'paċi perfetta, li moħħhom baqa ’fuqek: għax hu jafda fik (Isaija 26:3)

Do you believe in Jesus Christ, but have not submitted your life to Jesus Christ yetDo you see Jesus as your Saviour, but not your Lord and MasterOr maybe you have been raised in a religious home and went to church every week, but have not made Jesus Lord over your life and don’t have a personal relationship with HimMaybe you’ve been entangled with the affairs of life and caught up in all the problems of the world, and are looking for some peace?

Then there are six steps to get peace:

  • Believe in Jesus Christ, jindmu u agħmlu Mulej fuq ħajtek
  • Be baptized (magħmudija tal-ilma)
  • Be filled with the Holy Ghost
  • Iġġedded moħħok Bil-Kelma ta ’Alla, by reading and studying the Word of God
  • Keep and walk according to kmandamenti Tiegħu
  • Walk after the Spirit instead of walking after the flesh (Għax li tkun moħħok carnally hi mewt; imma li tkun moħħok spiritwalment hija ħajja u paċi (Rumani 8:6))

When you walk after the Spirit in His commandments, you shall experience a peace that passes all understanding. You shall bear the fruit peace and experience a peace that the world can’t give you, but Jesus can!
