The church of Jesus Christ is placed upon the fertile soil of the Kingdom of God. This fertile soil has enough water and nutrition for the church to bear good fruit. The roots of the church should extract nutrition from this fertile soil and not from any other soil. But toward whom does the church bend her roots today?
The roots of the church are hidden in the ground
For the outside world it may look like the church is established on the right soil and the roots of the church extract nutrition from the right soil. Don’t feed yourself with the things of this world; the things of the kingdom of the devil. Don’t listen to what the world says. Because the human wisdom and knowledge of this world are foolishness to God.
The wisdom and knowledge of the world doesn’t lead to obedience to God and eternal life, but lead to bondage and disobedience to God and the second death.
The Word of God is the Truth and trustworthy
The world and the things of this world are only temporary and will pass away. The so-called truths of this world change continuously. Scientific proofs are constantly adjusted and/or changed and old human scientific theories are replaced by new ones.
But the Word of God is the Truth and remains the Truth.
Although the world changes, the Word will never change.
The Word will always remain the same. That’s why God’s Word is reliable and brings forth life and peace.
