a good understanding have all they that do the Lord’s commandments:
His praise endures for ever
ko te mangai pokekore, does God hates
The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever:
the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether
The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, ki te mawehe atu i nga mahanga o te mate
Ko te wehi ki a Ihowa te ahu ki te ora: a ko te tangata kei a ia tera, ka noho makona;
e kore ia e whiua e te kino
The fear of the Lord prolongs days:
but the years of the wicked shall be shortened
and his children shall have a place of refuge
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith
He pono hoki tera ano te mutunga; e kore ano hoki tau i tumanako ai e hatepea atu
