Hefur Guð breyst í gegnum árin? Nei, Biblían segir að Guð sé hinn sami, í gær, í dag, og að eilífu. Þess vegna, Skoðun Guðs á lækna er enn sú sama. People are the ones that change. Stundum, they even change the words in the Bible so that the Word fits into their lives and fulfill their needs or shortcomings. Because of that their view on certain matters changed and often are not agreeing with the words and will of God. Let’s look at what the Bible says about doctors and medicine and whether God blessed doctors or not.
Hið stríð between the two kingdoms
It is important to realize that there is a spiritual war between the Kingdom of God (Þar sem Jesús Kristur er konungur) og ríki myrkursins (ríki djöfulsins (a.o. John 12:31; 14:30; Efesusbréfið 5:8; 6:10-18; Kólossubúar 1:13-14; Opinberun 12:7-9)).
God created man and gave the rulership over the earth to man. Man lived in communion with God and was placed under God, until man chose to believe and obey the words of the serpent and sinned.
Through the fall the spirit in man died and came under the authority of death. The devil became the ruler of the world and the father of fallen man. All the people that were born of Adam’s seed would come under his authority.
But through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross, through His blood, og upprisan frá dauðum, fallen man was given the opportunity to be endurreist (Græðari) í stöðu hans og sátt við Guð by faith and regeneration in Christ and become a new creation.
The new creation is placed above the devil and angels and has been given all power and authority through -and in Christ Jesus.
When you believed and gave your life to Jesus Christ, and repented and became born again in Him, Þú varst frelsaður frá valdi myrkursins and translated into the Kingdom of God (Kólossubúar 1:13-14).
Áður en þú fæddist aftur, you were the old creation that was bound by your sinful nature and served your old master and father the devil, who blinded you with his lies and let you walk in darkness.
But when you believed and Jesus Christ became your Savior and you made Him the Lord of your life, you were transferred to another Kingdom with a new Father, and a new Master, Who lets you walk in the light.
In Christ you have inherited eternal life.
The redeemed man versus the unredeemed man
The unredeemed man; gamla sköpunarverkið (fallinn maður) is carnal and still under the devil’s authority and bound to sin and death. But the redeemed man; hinni nýju sköpun (Nýr maður) is seated in Christ and has all authority in Christ over the devil and angels, because Jesus Christ defeated the devil, and is bound to righteousness and (eilíft) lífið.
Nú, með allt þetta í huga, let’s look at the origin of sickness and diseases, og lækningu, and if medical science and doctors, sjúkrahúsum, apótekum, o.s.frv. are from God or not.
If God blessed doctors,
why does God call Himself Jehovah Rapha?
Í Gamla testamentinu, we do not read a lot about diseases. If someone became ill, and went to God, then God healed that person. The healing took place when God’s people returned to God and kept the Law of Moses.
It often happened, that when people became óhlýðinn Guði, they became ill. We read this among others, in Numbers, the Book of Kings, and Chronicles.
sagði Guð, that if we halda boðorð hans He will take away all sickness and disease (þ.e.a.s.. Mósebók 23:25 og 5. Mósebók 17:15).
What does the Bible say about doctors in the Old Covenant?
Ása konungur
In the Old Covenant we read about doctors in the life of King Asa (2 Annáll 15). King Asa was obedient to God and kept His laws and commandments, nema hæðirnar. King Asa did not take the high places away but left them.
King Asa trusted the Lord and relied on Him and God was with King Asa. God gave nations into his might until King Asa no longer relied on God and went his own way.
The heart of King Asa did not go out to God anymore. God was no longer his source. God was not his Jehovah Nissi, and his Jehovah Jireh anymore. King Asa denied God by replacing God with another king, an earthly king of Syria, a human.
Hanani, who was a prophet of God, went to Asa to warn him. But King Asa did not listen to his words and didn’t repent.
Eftir nokkurn tíma, King Asa became ill.
Hins vegar, King Asa did not show any mercy to God. He did not repent of his ways, né leitaði hann Guðs
King Asa called for the physicians (translation from Hebrew Rapha). In our time we call these physicians, Læknar. This was an abomination to God.
These physicians couldn’t heal King Asa and King Asa died.
King Asa went to the physicians for healing
Þá tók Asa konungur allan Júda; Og þeir fluttu burt steina Rama, og timbur þess, sem Basa var að byggja með; Og hann byggði þar með Geba og Mispa. Og á þeim tíma kom Hananí sjáandi til Asa Júdakonungs, og sagði við hann, Af því að þú hefur reitt þig á Sýrlandskonung, and not relied on the Lord thy God, Þess vegna er her Sýrlandskonungs komst undan þér. Voru ekki Eþíópíumenn og Lubimar miklir gestgjafar, með mjög mörgum vögnum og riddara? samt, því að þú treystir á Drottin, hann gaf þá í þínar hendur.
“Yet in his disease, he sought not to the Lord, en til lækna”
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.
What does Jehovah Rapha mean?
Jehovah Rapha means God is our Healer, and no one else is. There are only two kingdoms, we don’t have any more options.
When we look at the story of King Asa; we read, that he did not seek God, who is Jehovah Rapha, í veikindum sínum. Þess vegna, he didn’t seek the Kingdom of God. Í staðinn, King Asa sought the other kingdom, which is the kingdom of darkness. King Asa sought help from the devil, who is the ruler of the other kingdom.
The devil inspired the physicians and gave them the knowledge and he worked through the hands of these physicians (Læknar).
The physicians (Læknar) were not from God but from the devil. If King Asa repented of his deeds and turned back to God and had sought God for healing in his illness instead of seeking the doctors (Læknar) fyrir lækningu, God would have healed King Asa, fyrir víst. But King Asa didn’t do that.
All the visible things have its origin in the spiritual realm
God created everything by His Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. Everything you see in the natural has its origin in the spiritual.
The same applies to sickness and disease.
The origin of sickness and disease
Sickness and disease are the results of demonic spirits (andlegt ríki) operating in the flesh (Náttúrulegt ríki). The sickness and diseases, which are visible and measurable in the body are manifestations of the damage that has been caused by demonic spirits.
Til dæmis, deafness and dumbness is a manifestations of a deaf and dumb spirit, a tumor is a manifestation of a cancer demon and forgetfulness is the manifestation of an Alzheimer’s demon.
As long as you don’t acknowledge sickness and disease coming from demonic spirits (demons manifesting themselves in a body or a soul), and if you don’t acknowledge that the origin of sickness is in the spiritual realm, but instead consider sickness and diseases as a natural bodily reaction of a natural cause, you will never be able to heal people in the Name and power of Jesus Christ.
You shall not be able to walk in faith and lay hands on sick people as Jesus did.
You must understand that the devil’s ultimate goal is to destroy people. He commissioned his fallen angels (demons or evil spirits) to do everything they can to accomplish his goal.
The devil sends his messengers to people with the commandment to seduce them and then steal, drepa, and destroy the people. The demon can only return to his master when he accomplishes his mission.
Where do doctors come from and what is the origin of medical science?
Let’s have a look at the doctors and the way of healing in ancient cultures and the roots of modern science:
- Heilbrigðislögmálin hjá Hebreum voru gefin af Guði, Jehóva Rapha (Book of Leviticus)
- Súmerska læknisfræði (4000 f.Kr) var byggt á stjörnuspeki.
- Egypsk læknisfræði (1500 f.Kr) prestar, who were initiated in medical knowledge and many specialists in one particular disease.
- Persnesk læknisfræði (1000 f.Kr) showed an affinity with the Hebrew health laws and underlies the Islamic health rules.
- Greek culture developed medicine in 3000 f.Kr. Medicine became a science based on research. Í þessum fræðum, views were developed based on the right balance between healthy and unhealthy. This could be realized by a proper way of living and a healthy environment. A well-known doctor was Alcmaeon (500 f.Kr). The medical school of Kos had brought forth the father of Western medicine: Hippókrates (460-377 f.Kr). Hippocrates had a profound understanding of human suffering and put the doctors in the service of the patients. Hippókrates var hæfur læknir og vísindamaður. He is the one, who is usually credited for applying humorism, which is also called the doctrine of the four temperaments as a medical theory. This theory holds that the human body is filled with four basic substances, kallaðir húmorar, sem eru í jafnvægi þegar maður er heilbrigður. These deficits could be caused by vapors that are inhaled or absorbed by the body. The four humors are black bile, gult gall, slím, og blóð. During the 17th century, læknavísindi byggð á vísindarannsóknum gekk í gegnum byltingarkennda þróun.
This is just a very short summary of the origin of medical science. But it shows that doctors and medicine go way back. Doctors already existed before Jesus came to the earth.
Remember the story of King Asa, who also turned to a medicine man. Every group of people (menningu) had, og hefur enn, its own healers and its own way of healing people. The people of Israel had Jehovah Rapha (Guð), Sem læknaði þá.
The Oath of Hippocrates
Before doctors can practice medicine, they must swear by an oath. The oath originally came from the oath of Hippocrates. We can distinguish four parts in the oath of Hippocrates:
- A diversity of gods are called as a witness.
- A summary of ethical codes.
- A declaration where the reputation of the doctor depends upon his loyalty to the oath.
What is the original oath of Hippocrates?
I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone. Ég mun ekki gefa neinum banvænt lyf ef beðið er um það, né leggja til nein slík ráð; and similarly I will not give a woman a pessary to cause an abortion. But I will preserve the purity of my life and my arts. I will not cut for stone, jafnvel fyrir sjúklinga þar sem sjúkdómurinn kemur fram; Ég mun láta þessa aðgerð vera framkvæmd af iðkendum, specialists in this art. In every house where I come I will enter only for the good of my patients, halda sjálfri mér fjarri allri vísvitandi illsku og allri tælingu og sérstaklega frá ánægju af ást með konum eða körlum, be they free or slaves. All that may come to my knowledge in the exercise of my profession or in daily commerce with men, sem ekki ætti að dreifa til útlanda, Ég mun halda leyndu og mun aldrei opinbera.
If I keep this oath faithfully, megi ég njóta lífsins og iðka list mína, virt af öllu mannkyni og á öllum tímum; en ef ég sveig frá því eða brjóti gegn því, megi hið gagnstæða vera líf mitt.
What is the revised oath of Hippocrates?
In the US, and many other countries the original oath has been revised and an example of one is as follows:
Ég lofa því hátíðlega að ég mun eftir bestu getu þjóna mannkyninu – annast sjúka, stuðla að góðri heilsu, and alleviating pain and suffering.
Ég viðurkenni að iðkun læknis er forréttindi sem fylgja töluverð ábyrgð og ég mun ekki misnota stöðu mína. I will practice medicine with integrity, Auðmýkt, heiðarleika, og samúð - að vinna með læknum mínum og öðrum samstarfsmönnum til að mæta þörfum sjúklinga minna.
I shall never intentionally do or administer anything to the overall harm of my patients. I will not permit considerations of gender, kapp, Trúarbrögð, stjórnmálatengsl, kynhneigð, þjóðerni, eða félagslega stöðu til að hafa áhrif á umönnunarskyldu mína. I will oppose policies in breach of human rights and will not participate in them. I will strive to change laws that are contrary to my profession’s ethics and will work towards a fairer distribution of health resources. I will assist my patients to make informed decisions that coincide with their own values and beliefs and will uphold patient confidentiality.
Ég mun viðurkenna takmörk þekkingar minnar og leitast við að viðhalda og auka skilning minn og færni í gegnum atvinnulífið. Ég mun viðurkenna og reyna að bæta úr mínum eigin mistökum og fá heiðarlega aðgang að og bregðast við öðrum. I will seek to promote the advancement of medical knowledge through teaching and research. I make this declaration solemnly, frjálslega, og mér til heiðurs.
Við getum ályktað, that modern Western medicine is based upon Greek philosophy and has become a science. This medical science has been developed over the years, due to scientific research and medical science is still developing.
What about pharmacies and medical symbols?
Í forngrískri goðafræði, Asclepius is considered the god of medicine. Asclepius was the son of Apollo and Coronis. Asclepius shared, with Apollo, the epithet Paean (“læknarinn”). Apollo bar Asclepius barnið (which he took from the womb of Coronis, móðir Asklepíusar) til centaursins Chiron, sem ól upp Asclepius og kenndi honum í læknisfræði.
Asclepius táknar lækningaþátt læknisfræðinnar. The daughters of Asclepius are:
- Hreinlæti (“Hreinlæti”, gyðjan/persónugerð heilsunnar, hreinlæti, og hreinlætisaðstöðu),
- Jesús (gyðja bata frá veikindum),
- Kveikt (gyðja lækningaferlisins),
- Aglaea/Aegle (fegurðargyðjuna, prýði, dýrð, mikilfengleika, og skraut),
- Panacea (gyðja allsherjarlækningarinnar).
Asclepius was associated with the Roman god Vediovis. Zeus killed Asclepius with a thunderbolt, because he raised Hippolytus from the dead and accepted gold for it.
Other myths say, að Asclepius var drepinn, because after bringing people back from the dead, Hades thought, that no more dead spirits would come to the underworld, therefore he asked his brother Zeus to remove him. Þetta reiddi Apollo, sem aftur myrti Kýklópana, sem hafði búið til þrumufleygurnar fyrir Seif
Stöng Asklepíusar, snáka fléttað staf, is still the symbol of medicine today. This symbol (Asclepius stöngina) is not only used by doctors, en einnig í apótekum, sérstaklega táknið með skálinni, from which the serpent is drinking from.
We all recognize these symbols above, but do you also know their meaning and their origin?
Does the medical symbol represent the serpent of brass on the pole
The symbol of the rod does not represent the serpent of brass on the pole, which Moses made and was a foreshadowing of Jesus’ Dauðinn á krossinum, as so many Christians think. (Lestu líka: Why was the serpent of brass a foreshadowing of the Jesus’ Dauðinn á krossinum).
Astrology symbol Caduceus
The staff in the picture in the upper left corner is an old astrology symbol and is also called ‘Caduceus’.
The snakes represent dualism, sem mun að lokum skila sér í sátt.
Stöng Asklepíusar
In the picture on the bottom left, við sjáum staf Asklepíusar, which is also called Aesculapius staff.
The bowl of Hygieia
Skálin táknar Hygieia, the goddess of health and the daughter of Asclepius. The serpent is being fed out of the bowl (Picture in the middle and upper right). So Hygieia feeds the serpent.
The green cross
The green cross originates from Greece and is a symbol of the union of pharmacies.
Við getum séð að þessi tákn, which are still used today, represent doctors, sjúkrahúsum, apótekum, o.fl., and have their origin in Greek mythology. The symbols represent the Greek gods and have nothing to do with the Almighty God; hið Skapari himins og jarðar.
The devil is not a creator but an imitator. The devil copies everything from God. Why does the devil do that? Because the devil wants to be like God.
The devil wants to be the god of the people and want them to worship him. Therefore the devil created and still creates substitutes for God, so that people don’t need God anymore but can do everything themselves.
Did Jesus heal all the sick?
- Has Jesus ever sent someone to a physician or doctor? Ef svo er, hvar er það skrifað?
- Did Jesus command his disciples to bring sick people to medicine men or physicians?
- Has Jesus ever commanded the sick to go to doctors or physicians, þegar hann myndi fara til föðurins?
- Luke var læknir, but was he a physician in the natural realm in the spiritual realm? Because Jesus called Himself also a Physician but Jesus was not a doctor.
- If Luke would indeed be a doctor, where did Jesus send the sick to Luke? Or when did the apostles send the sick to Luke?
- If Luke was a doctor, when has he ever executed his profession? Hvar er það skrifað?
- Did God send sick people to physicians, medicine men or doctors in the Old Testament?
- Where are the physicians, who are the followers and disciples of Hippocrates, mentioned in the New Testament?
Jesus healed all who were sick and oppressed by the devil. He was a man, who knew His authority and knew where sickness came from.
The promise of healing in the Bible
Vissulega hefur hann borið sorgir okkar, og bar sorgir okkar: yet we did esteem him stricken, sleginn af Guði, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, Hann var marinn vegna misgjörða okkar: refsing friðar okkar var yfir honum; Og með rönd hans erum við læknuð (Jesaja 53:4-5)
Sem hann sjálfur bar syndir okkar í eigin líkama á trénu, að við, að vera dauður syndum, ætti að lifa til réttlætis: af hvers höggi þér hafið læknast (1 Pétur 2:24)
Jesus took all sickness and sin upon Him and carried our sorrows. All sickness and diseases in the body and in the soul are paid on the whipping post and on the cross.
Before the crucifixion, Jesus bore all our sickness and disease in His flesh at the whipping post, and on the cross the Father laid all the sins of fallen man upon Him.
Pétur skrifaði, that ‘by His stripes, you were healed’. Með öðrum orðum, the words in Isaiah 53:4-5 were fulfilled at the whipping post, where Jesus paid the price for fallen humanity. Healing is already done.
Were there physicians in Jesus’ tíma?
Já, í Jesú’ time there were physicians (Læknar). Hippókrates, who is considered the father and founder of medical science lived from 460-377 f.Kr. The disciples of Hippocrates (priests in the temple of Asclepius) gained medical knowledge from him and they taught their disciples their medical knowledge in the temple of Asclepius.
Konan með blóðleysi
Í Mark 5:25-27 we read about the woman with the issue of blood, who went to the physicians (Læknar).
Og ákveðin kona, sem var með blóðleysi í tólf ár, And had suffered many things of many physicians, og hafði eytt öllu því sem hún átti, og var ekkert betra, heldur versnaði, Þegar hún hafði heyrt um Jesú, kom í blöðum á eftir, og snerti klæði hans.
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague (Mark 5:25-29).
Konan, sem var með blóðleysi, spent a lot of money on many physicians. She had spent all that she had on the doctors.
En varð henni eitthvað betra? Nei, sem staðreynd, ástand hennar versnaði!
Auðvitað, her situation did not improve, nor was she healed, because physicians (Læknar) draw from the source of the devil; uppspretta dauðans.
When you use a medicine, þú ert ekki frjáls, en í ánauð. Þegar þú ferð í meðferð, þú ert ekki frjáls, but in bondage and eventually, it will only become worse. Because the devil never gives something for free, the devil always wants something in return. Mundu, the devil’s mission is to steal, drepa, and destroy and will never provide life (John 10:10).
Jesús promises a life of living in freedom and not in bondage
Varist að nokkur maður spilli þér með heimspeki og hégómalegum svikum, eftir sið karla, eftir grundvallaratriðum heimsins, og ekki eftir Krist (Kólossubúar 2:8).
Páll varaði hina heilögu þegar í Kólossubréfinu 2:4-15 for earthly wisdom; the knowledge of man, sem er heimska fyrir Guði:
Á þessum tímum, we’ve become so used to the world system, að við sjáum ekki lengur muninn á því sem er frá Guði og því sem er frá djöflinum.
We take the medical care system; Læknar, sjúkrahúsum, meðferðaraðilum, Sálfræðingar, o.s.frv. for granted and consider it normal. It’s part of our lives.
Some Christians even say, that doctors are blessed ones, sem eru sendir frá Guði. Vel, það er ein stærsta lygin!
When you become born again and renew your mind with the word of God, and when you seek the things which are above and not on the earth, then your eyes will be opened and you shall find out, and experience the truth of God.
You shall discern the lies of the devil, in which you live(d) for many years. You shall discern the spirits and the spiritual realm and shall discern good and evil.
Renew your mind and get the mind of Christ
Holdlegur hugur þinn, which thinks like the world, segir: if you are sick or if you feel an ache you will go to the doctor or if you are depressed, you will go to a Sálfræðingur or if you experience an ache in your back you will go to a physical therapist, o.fl., Therefore you have to renew your carnal mind with the word of God so that it will line up with the will of God (Lestu líka: TheWhy is renewing your mind necessary?).
Öll þessi vígi, which are built up in your mind must be destroyed. The only way to destroy them is by the Word of God.
Mig langar að hvetja þig, to read and study the Scriptures that are mentioned in this blog post and examine it for yourself. Look into it and find out the truth of God.
It is time for the saints to arise and return to God. It’s about time to acknowledge Him in all our ways, ekki bara fáir. Let Him become our Jehovah Rapha again.
