Nor do we read anything about Joseph’s emotions and feelings, when Joseph was sold to the Ishmaelites. We don’t read anything about Joseph’s actual feelings and emotions until we read the 42nd chapter of the Book of Genesis.
Joseph was anguished and distressed
And they said one to another, We are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us (Genesis 42:21)
V Genesis 42, Joseph’s brothers came to Joseph (after more than 20 rokov) to buy corn. We read, how Joseph really felt, by what his brothers were saying about Joseph. They saw Joseph’s suffering and when Joseph made an urgent appeal to his brothers, his brothers wouldn’t listen to Joseph, but they sold Joseph for 20 pieces of silver.
