كل عام, الجمعة العظيمة يتذكرها المسيحيون. ولكن ما معنى الجمعة العظيمة؟? Why is Good Friday such an important day to Christians and humanity?
ماذا حدث يوم الجمعة العظيمة?
On Good Friday, we remember the صلب يسوع المسيح. Jesus died for humanity and took all the sins, الظلم, مرض, and diseases upon Him. He carried all sins and iniquities of the world and took the penalty for sin, وهو الموت, على نفسه.
Jesus was the Lamb of God and became the Substitute for fallen man. حتى أن الجميع, who believes in Him would be redeemed by His blood from sin and death, and be reunited with the Father.
All the redeemed of the Lord are saved and receive eternal life.
When you believe in Christ, أنت redeemed from your sinful state and nature.
The blood of Christ redeemed you from the power of the devil and brought you into the Kingdom of God and made you righteous. أنت لم يعد الخاطئ لكنك صرت قديسا.
When you become a saint, you shall live as a saint and walk in holiness and righteousness. Just like Jesus walked in holiness and righteousness, because He has become your new Owner.
Before you accepted Jesus Christ, كمخلصك وربك, you walked according to the will of the devil (your previous owner).
لكن الآن, you ought to walk according to the will of Jesus (your new Owner). You can find His will in His Word. The Word is Jesus, and through His Word, He will reveal and share His will with you.
وظيفة الجلد
And He took bread, وقدم الشكر, والفرملة عليه, and gave unto them, قائلا, This is My body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, قائلا, This cup is the new testament in My blood, which is shed for you (لوك 22:19-20)
Jesus took the bread, which symbolizes His body in the visible world. Every time you take the bread and eat the bread, you remember His body, which was given for you. You remember the stripes, He took upon Himself, on the whipping post, on Good Friday. You remember that by His stripes you were healed. نعم, all sickness and disease He took upon Him on the whipping post.
ولكنه مجروح لأجل معاصينا, لقد أصيب بكدمات من أجل آثامنا: كان تأديب سلامنا عليه; وبخطوطه شفينا (اشعيا 53:5)

The finished work at Calvary
بعد وظيفة الجلد, Jesus continued His way to Calvary; the place, where He would die for all humanity. نعم, He would be sacrificed for all humanity.
On Good Friday, Jesus was pierced at the cross and carried all the iniquities and sins of mankind. لقد أخذ يسوع كل الذنوب, الظلم, and eventually death upon Himself. حتى أن الجميع, who believes in Him would receive redemption, الحياة الأبدية, a life reunited with the Father. الجميع, who is redeemed by the blood of Jesus, will not face death.
دمه (His life) was shed at the cross. The wine you take symbolizes His blood (His life) that washed away all your sins and iniquities and redeemed you from sin nature.
Jesus had one purpose, and that was to do the وصية أبيه. كان يعلم, how much God loves people.
نعم, Jesus knew how much God loves أنت, and because He saw that great love of His Father for you, He gave His life for you. So that you will be reunited with your Creator, your Father in Heaven.
Don’t ever forget His great sacrifice. Never forget the cross and the blood of Jesus Christ. But remember daily, what He has done for you and what He has given you.
كل يوم, you should take up your cross and follow Jesus, which means that you act and live according to His will, and not your own will anymore. إذا سلكت في إرادته, you will please Him, and exalt Him in everything you do.
