我兒子, 遵守你父親的誡命, 而不是放棄你母親的律法: 不斷將它們綁在你的心上, 並把他們綁在你的脖子上 (箴言 6:20-21)
孝敬你的父親, 和你媽媽, so that you shall have a long life. That’s a commandment and a promise of the Lord, 我們的父親. It is important for the Lord, that you will obey your parents and submit yourself to them. Why is this important? Because the parents are ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven. They are representatives of the Most High God. When you don’t obey your parents, and don’t submit to their will, then how can you obey God and submit to Him?
When a you grow up and want to go your own way. When you don’t honor your parents, by not obeying to them and by not doing their will, be rebellious towards them etc., then when you grow up, it shall be very hard for you to submit to the Lord, and to obey Him, 並遵行祂的旨意.
As long as the will of a child, will not be ‘broken’ during childhood, the child shall always want to do his/her own will. The will of the child can become a bottleneck in the rest of his/her life. It is therefore important as a parent, to raise a child in the fear of the Lord; 用他的話, and to teach the child to be obedient and correct them.
服從你的父母
For you, as a child, it’s important to obey your parents. Listen to the commandment of your father and to the law of your mother, 受到神的話語的啟發. Bind them upon your heart and tie them about your neck, so that they won’t leave you. Think about them everyday, 並走進去. Do not depart from them.
你應該知道, that your parents love you, and only want the best for you. Just like the Father loves us, 並且有 given us His commandments, because He only wants the best for us and keep us from harm.
