There are so many stories in the Bible about the subject of waiting. I could have written many more blog posts about this subject, but I won’t. I will write just two more blog posts about the subject of waiting, 即: Waiting for the promise of the Messiah and waiting for the promise of the return of the Messiah (which is still to come). The most important promise of God to man was the promise of the coming of the Messiah: 上帝啊.
God’s first promise of the Messiah
I will put enmity between thee and the woman, 在你的種子和她的種子之間; 它會瘀傷你的頭, 你要擦傷他的腳後跟 (成因 3:15)
人犯罪後, by disobeying God, man became separated from God, God had already a new plan to redeem man from evil, and reunite them back to Him. Because all He wanted, was to have a relationship with man.
God had already created a plan, to take the authority from the devil and give it back to man. The devil had taken it wrongfully, but God would take it back in a legal manner.
The first time that God spoke about the promise of the Messiah is in Genesis 3. He spoke about the One, that would deliver the people out of satan’s hand and bring them back to God.
一個, Who would take the keys of authority 來自魔鬼, and would reign together with man. 彌賽亞, of Whom God spoke, was Jesus.
After God told the serpent (魔鬼) 女人的種子會瘀傷他的頭, the serpent tried everything he could, to prevent this from happening. He tried to destroy the seed of the woman (I will write about this in the near future), but he did not succeed.
彌賽亞的到來
Did the Messiah come right away? 不, it took more than 2000 years before the promise of God; the coming of the Messiah came to pass. But despite the fact, that it took more than 2000 年, 神信守了他的諾言.
At the perfect time, the Messiah came. All the prophecies regarding the birth, 生活, 死亡, and resurrection of the Messiah, have ALL come to pass.
因為事實, that all the prophecies came to pass, and are still coming to pass regarding the end of times and the return of the Messiah, 證明, 那是 Word of God is reliable, and is the Truth.
The birth of Jesus Christ
以賽亞書 7:14 we read the prophecy about the birth of Christ: Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; 看哪, 處女將懷孕, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
The life of Jesus
Many prophets wrote about the life of Jesus, 即. the prophet Isaiah:
看哪, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: 看, his reward is with him, and his work before him. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young (以賽亞 40:10-11).
(I would like to encourage you to study Ezekiel chapter 34 和 37 as well)
But ofcourse, there are many more scriptures about Jesus Christ, 彌賽亞. The whole Word testifies about Jesus, 上帝的兒子.
The death of Jesus
In the Book Isaiah, we read about His death:
他肯定擁有我們的悲傷, 並帶著我們的悲傷: 但是我們確實尊重他, 神, 並折磨了. 但是他因我們的違法行為而受傷, 他因我們的罪惡而受傷: 我們和平的責任在他身上; 有了他的條紋，我們得到了治愈. 我們所喜歡的綿羊誤入歧途; 我們已經把每個人都以他自己的方式; 主對我們所有人的罪孽都放在了他身上. 他被壓迫, 他遭受了折磨, 但是他沒有張開嘴: 他被帶到羔羊到屠殺, 作為羊皮之前的綿羊, 所以他不張開嘴.
他被從監獄和判斷中被帶走: 誰來宣告他的世代? For He was cut off out of the land of the living: 他因我百姓的過犯而受責打. 他和邪惡的, and with the rich in his death; 因為他沒有暴力, 他嘴裡都沒有欺騙. 然而，這讓主很高興瘀傷他; 他使他感到悲傷: 當你修整他的靈魂為罪獻上, 他會看到他的種子, He shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. 他將看到他靈魂的苦難, 並應滿足: 據他所知，我的正義僕人應證明許多; 因為他要承擔他們的罪孽.
因此，我會把他分為一部分, 他將用堅強; because He hath poured out his soul unto death: 他被犯人編號; 他裸露了許多人的罪, 並為違法者做代禱 (以賽亞 53:4-12)
在詩篇中 22, we read about the crucifixion of Jesus, and what He endured during the crucifixion.
Jesus confirmed, what the prophets wrote about the Messiah and said:
我是好牧人: 好牧人為羊捨命 (約翰 10:11).
The resurrection of Jesus
For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption (詩篇 16:10)
Not only in Psalm 16:10, we read about His resurrection, Jesus also confirmed His resurrection to the people, 在馬修 12:40:
因為喬納斯（Jonas）在鯨魚的肚子里呆了三天三晚; 人子的兒子將在地球中心三天三天晚上.
There are many more Scriptures about the birth, 生活, death and resurrection of Jesus (關於 44 Scriptures), but I won’t overload you with all 44 Scriptures. You can look them up and study them for yourself.
We can read about the promise of the Messiah and the fulfilment, throughout the Bible. God never forgot His promise, even though it lasted more than 2000 年.
God repeated His promise many times. He spoke through the mouth of His servants, 給人民, to remind them of the promise. God didn’t lie, He spoke the truth.
The promises of God will come to pass
我想鼓勵你, that when God gives you a promise, He will make sure that it will come to pass. But sometimes it may take a while. It will happen at His time, and not your time.
All you have to do, is to trust Him completely, 等等. 留在他的話語中, and get to know Him better. The more you will know Him, the more you will trust Him, and the stronger your faith will become. 不要做任何愚蠢的事情, don’t take matters into your own hand, 但是等等….
