Jesus compared the signs of His return with the fig tree. He said that when these things, 耶穌在馬太福音中提到 24:4-30, would happen, His return would be at hand.
Jesus wanted them to become familiar with His words. Just like they were familiar with the signs of the fig tree. He wanted them (and us) to know when the summer is coming.
話, which Jesus spoke shall not pass away, but shall last forever until they are fulfilled.
We should hold on to the words of Jesus, so that we become aware of the season we live in.
