You have been made righteous, вірою в Ісуса Христа; by His work and by His blood (Гал 2:16). You cannot become righteous by your own works, and by following the law and its rituals (обрізання, застілля, пропозиції, sacrifices etc.). Because from the moment, that the New Covenant was established, the Old Covenant was made obsolete (Євт 8:12).
Але.... When you have repented and have been made righteous, вірою в Ісуса Христа, Його кров'ю, then you shall put of the works of darkness, and do the works of God.
Therefore the works that you shall do, shall correspond with your repentance. You shall no longer walk the way, you walked before you knew Jesus Christ.
But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance (Акти 26:20)
Ніч минула далеко, день наближається: Тож відкиньмо діла темряви, і зодягнімося в зброю світла. Ходимо чесно, як вдень; не в бешкетництві та пияцтві, не в камерності та розпусті, не в сварках і заздрості (Пзп 13:12-13)

The reward of the righteous
Коли ти каятися and accept Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, it doesn’t stop there. It’s only the beginning of a new life in Jesus Christ. You will have a relationship with Him, and out of your relationship with Him and the Father, і your position in Him, you shall do the works of God.
You shall sow in your spirit, і приносити плід Духа. The righteous; нове творіння, shall walk in righteousness, and shall do the same works as Jesus did.
Воістину, воістину, Я кажу тобі, He that believeth on me, Роботи, які я роблю, також це зробить; і більше творів, ніж це він робитиме; бо йду до Отця мого (Ів 14:12)
The reward of the righteous will be eternal life.
The reward of the wicked
But you can also choose to live the life, you lived before you Покаялися. You can choose to live like the world and walk after the flesh, just like them. But the spirit and the flesh, cannot work together, therefore the flesh shall reign over the spirit.

Людина, who says he believes, but lives like the world, belongs to the world. He will sow in the flesh and shall reap the fruit of the flesh.
You can confess with your mouth, що ти believe in Jesus Christ, but your works will proof if you really believe in Him.

Everyone’s end shall be according to their works (2 Cor 11:15). Because what a man sows, він буде жати.
І я бачив мертвих, малий і великий, стояти перед Богом; і книги були розгорнуті: і була відкрита інша книга, яка є книгою життя: і мертві були суджені за тим, що написано в книгах, За їхніми працями. І віддало море мертвих, що були в ньому; а смерть і пекло віддали мертвих, що були в них: і кожен був суджений за своїми вчинками (Рев 20:12-13)
