The Bible says we should not be afraid and that nothing shall harm us, because we’re protected in Jesus Christ. Проте, є багато християн, who live in fear and are afraid to be cursed by people. Especially by those, who move into the occult realm. This fear of curses is mainly developed through false doctrines about curses in the church. Should Christians be afraid of curses, can a Christian be cursed by people? What does the Bible say about curses and about Christians being cursed?
Balaam couldn’t curse God’s people
У Старому Завіті, God’s people lived under God’s protection. God was with His people. God’s people were blessed and protected as long as they kept the commandments and precepts of the covenant between God and His people, and walked according to His will.
Because God was with His people, the people were victorious and untouchable for the people around them. No curse could touch God’s people
Take for example the story of Balaam. Балак, моавський цар, approached Balaam to curse God’s people, since God’s people were stronger than Moab.
But God said to Balaam, that he wouldn’t curse the people, since His people were blessed.
And so when Balaam spoke the words of God, Balaam blessed the people instead of cursing the people (Числа 22-24).
In one of the blessings, which God spoke through the mouth of Balaam, Бог сказав, “Blessed is he that blesses thee, and cursed is he that curses thee.” (Числа 24:9).
Therefore God’s people didn’t have to be afraid. God protected His people and whosoever harmed His people, God would harm. (Читайте також: Вчення про Валаам).
Goliath cursed David
When the Philistine (Голіаф) looked about, і побачив Давида, він зневажав його: for he was but a youth, і рум'яний, and of a fair countanance. І сказав филистимлянин до Давида, am I a dog, що ти приходиш до мене з палицями? І прокляв филистимлянин Давида своїми богами ((1 Самуїл 17:42-43)
У Старому Завіті, we read about the fight between David and Goliath and how Goliath cursed David. But although Goliath cursed David, the curse of Goliath couldn’t touch David and David overcame Goliath.
Jezebel cursed Elijah
And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, кажучи, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there (1 Королі 19:1-3)
Jezebel cursed Elijah. Проте, the curse couldn’t reach Elijah, because God’s hand was upon his life. Although Elijah fled to save his life and requested to die, when he sat under the juniper tree in the wilderness, God had another plan for Elijah’s life. Після 40 days and nights, God spoke to Elijah and commanded Elijah to return.
The words of Jezebel never came to pass and Elijah didn’t see the death. Elijah was taken by a chariot of fire and horses of fire and went up by a whirlwind into heaven. (2 Королі 2:1-12).
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper
Ось, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, каже Господь (Ісая 54:16-17)
As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come (Прислів'я 26:2)
If in the Old Covenant, a curse couldn’t reach God’s people, who lived in obedience to God’s will, how come that suddenly in the New Covenant, which is a better covenant, a curse can reach God’s people and a Christian can be cursed?
Jesus Christ is the head of all principality and power and the church is His Body
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; Що Бог нашого Господа Ісуса Христа, Батько слави, Може дати вам дух мудрості та одкровення в знаннях про нього: Очі вашого розуміння просвітленим; що ви можете знати, яка надія на його покликання, і яке багатство слави його спадщини у святих,
І в чому полягає в надзвичайній величі його сили до нас, хто вірить, відповідно до дії Його могутньої сили, Який він робив у Христі, Коли він підняв його з мертвих, і встановіть його на власну праву руку в небесні місця, Далеко понад усе князівство, і потужність, і могло, і панування, і кожне ім’я, яке названо, Не тільки в цьому світі, але також у тому, що має бути: And has put all things under His feet, і поставив Його Головою над усім для Церкви, Який його тіло, повнота Того, що наповнює все у всьому(Ефесян 1:15:23)
Бо в Ньому тілесно перебуває вся повнота Божества. І ви повні в Ньому, який є головою всього князівства і влади (Колосяни 2:9-10)
Jesus Christ is seated on the right hand of the Father and Christians are seated in Him
Хто є сяйвом Його слави, і виразний образ Його особи, і підтримуючи все словом Його сили, коли Він Сам очистив наші гріхи, сів по праву руку від величності на висоті; Бути набагато кращим за ангелів, as He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they (Євреїв 1:3-4)
Ісус Христос є Царем. Jesus is seated on the throne at the right hand of God the Father in the heavenly places.
He is seated far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named.
Кожна людина, who is born-again in Christ and belongs to the Church (Тіло Христа) is seated in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Blessed One (Марк 14:61).
Тих, who are seated in Jesus Christ in the heavenly places, are far above all principality, міць, і могло.
They’re blessed in Him and live as priests, devoted to Jesus and the Father, and reign with Christ as kings.
Can a born-again Christian be cursed?
A born-again Christian can’t be cursed. As long as a Christian stays in Christ and walks after the Spirit in obedience to His words and commandments, no curse shall be able to touch the person. тому, it is impossible to curse Christians, які народжуються знову.
A born-again Christian shouldn’t be afraid to be cursed. Since the born-again believer knows Jesus Christ; слово, і Батько.

Their faith is built upon the words and experiences of people and they are led by these words and experiences.
Therefore they are afraid of the powers of darkness. They consider the devil’s words, міць, and works mightier and more powerful than the words, міць, and works of God.
God is the Almighty One and the Most High
Forasmuch as there is none like unto Thee, О Господи; Thou art great, and Thy Name is great in might. Who would not fear Thee, O King of nations? For to Thee doth it appartain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto Thee (Єремія 10:6-7)
Remember the former things of old: for I am God, і більше нікого немає; I am God, and there is none like Me (Ісая 46:9)
Among the gods there is none like unto Thee, О Господи; neither are there any works like unto Thy works (Псалми 86:8)
Правда в тому, що, that God is the Highest. There is no greater power and authority. There is no one in this whole universe, who is greater than God.
The power and the might of God is so much stronger than the power and the might of the devil. Пам'ятайте, the devil is created by God.
The Bible testifies about God’s greatness and His power and that nothing exceeds the power and the might of God.
Тих, who study and know the Bible and trust the Word and abide in the Word, know this truth.

If you are a Christian and you are born again in Christ, you are blessed and can not be cursed!
The sons of God are preserved in Christ
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you. And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ (2 Солуняни 3:2-5)

У Старому Завіті, we read that as long as God’s people feared God and walked in His will, they were blessed and untouchable. No one could touch God’s people.
All the works, that Jesus did on earth in the Old Covenant, He did in the Name of His Father; the authority of His Father, і сила Святого Духа.
His authority and power were always stronger than the devil’s authority and power and all the enemies of God.
Even death couldn’t hold Jesus. God’s power exceeded the power of death.

If in the Old Covenant Gods people were protected by God and therefore untouchable for curses, Ісус Христос; Син Божий, who exposed and destroyed the works of darkness, was protected by God and untouchable, and the disciples, who received power over all the power of the enemy and nothing would hurt them, would Christians today, які народжені згори у Христі і є синами Божими (як самці, так і самки) і належать Богу, be suddenly not protected anymore and can be cursed?
