Moelelo oa Maele ke ofe 10:9, He that walks uprightly (in integrity and with moral character) walks surely: but he that perverts his ways shall be known?
What does walking in integrity with moral character mean?
When a person walks in integrity and with moral character, he walks securely. Motho, who walks in integrity has nothing to hide. Therefore there’s nothing to reveal. The person shall walk in the truth of God in the light. Because the person walks in the truth of God in the light, he has nothing to fear.
He that walks uprightly (in integrity and with moral character) walks surely: but he that perverts his ways shall be known (Liproverbia 10:9)
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly (Pesaleme 84:11)
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever (Esaia 32:17)
He that walks righteously, and speaks uprightly; he that despises the gain of oppressions, that shakes his hands from holding of bribes, that stops his ears from hearing of blood, and shuts his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure (Esaia 33:15-16)
The Lord is a Sun (a Source of light) and a Shield, Ho bao, who walk in integrity in His truth.
They live in the light and God protects them. They dwell on high, because through nchafatso in Christ they’re ba dutse ho Jesu Kreste, Libakeng tsa Leholimo.
As long they stay in Jesus, Lentswe, they shall have nothing to fear in life. Because He protects them.
The Day of the Lord will not come as a surprise. When that day comes, Morena; Lentswe le phelang, will judge everyone according to their works. Batho, who walked uprightly (in integrity and with moral character) have nothing to fear.
Walking in crooked ways
Leha ho le joalo, motho, who doesn’t walk in integrity and with moral character, perverts his ways. He walks in crooked ways in darkness. Hae works are evil. Hangata, his evil works are hidden to the natural eyes of man, but not to the eyes of God.
Sooner or later, his works will be exposed. Because everything that happens in secret and darkness will eventually come into the light. The works of the person will be exposed, and when that happens, the person will be punished.
As long as a person lives on this earth, the person has the ability to repent and start walking uprightly on the tsela ya ho loka e isang bophelong bo sa feleng. But if a person refuses to repent of his or her wicked works and dies, it will be too late for repentance.
The Day of Judgment
Ka letsatsi la kahlolo (the Day of the Lord), the Lord will judge everyone; believers and unbelievers, Ho latela mesebetsi ea bona. Everyone will be judged and held accountable for their works on this earth. Ha ho na motho ea qheletsoeng ka thoko.
Ka letsatsi la kahlolo, the Word will judge unto eternal life or eternal death.
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasures up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; O tla busetsa ho e mong le e mong ho ya ka diketso tsa hae: Ba batlang khanya le tlhompho le ho se shoe, ka ho tiisetsa ho etsa hantle, bophelo bo sa feleng: Empa ho ba ratang dikomang, mme ha le mamele nnete, empa le mamele ho se loke, khalefo le khalefo, Matšoenyeho le mahlomola, upon every soul of man that does evil, oa Mojuda pele, le wa Baditjhaba; Empa kganya, tlotla, le khotso, to every man that works good, ho Mojuda pele, le ho Baditjhaba: Etsoe ha ho khethollo ea batho ho Molimo (Baroma 2:5-11)
Ka hona, make Jesus your Lord and Saviour, while you still can. Walk uprightly on the path of righteousness that leads to eternal life. Don’t let the Word become your Judge, so that you will receive your eternal punishment.
