The difference between the sons of God and the sons of the devil, is that the sons of God walk in the truth of God’s Word and the sons of the devil walk in the truth of the world. What does the walk of the sons of God (this applies to both males and females) look like according to the Bible?
The Kingdom of God vs the kingdom of darkness (the world)
Since the kingdom of darkness aka the kingdom of the world, diametrically opposes the Kingdom of God, the words of the kingdom of the world diametrically oppose the words of the Kingdom of God.
Because of that, the world speaks against every word of God. The world cast down and destroys everything that derives from the Kingdom of God.
People may come with all kinds of (scientific) proofs, theories, and doctrines, but if they go against the Bible (God’s Word) and ensure that people leave the words of God and therefore leave God’s way, then people should reject these words and doctirnes, because they are lies.
If you don’t reject these lies, but believe them above the truth of God, then God shall reject you, because you have rejected God and His Word.
What is the difference between the old man and the new man?
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not (1 John 3:1)
Everything you see around you has its origin in God. Everything is created by God through the Word and the power of the Holy Spirit. The whole creation derives from the spiritual realm instead of the natural realm.
Man walked with God until man disobeyed God and sinned. Because of that man fell.
Due to the fall of man, the spirit of man died and man became separated from God.
Man became carnal and sense ruled.
That’s why the old man differs from the new man in the fact that the old man is carnal and the new man is spiritual.
The old man is born of the seed of man and has a body and soul (the flesh) and is carnal. Therefore the old man lives sense ruled.
The old man has a carnal mind and lives according to the principle that every natural effect has a natural cause.
Because of that, the old man lives from the flesh according to the natural (scientific) theories and laws and makes use of natural means, methods, principles, etc.
The new man is spiritual
The new man is born again in Jesus Christ and born of God. The spirit is raised from the death, whereby the new man has become spiritual.
The new man has the mind of Christ. The new man lives according to the principle that every natural effect has a spiritual cause.
Therefore, the new man lives and acts from his position (anointing) as son of God (both males and females) from the Word after the Spirit and calls those things which are not as though they were.
The spiritual realm revealed in the Old Covenant
God revealed the spiritual realm and His Kingdom to humankind through His Word (the Bible).
In the Old Covenant God revealed the spiritual realm to His people through the Law, the words of His prophets, and by the coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was (and is) the Word made flesh (John 1:14).
The spiritual realm revealed in the New Covenant
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. (Galatians 4:4-6)
Through the coming, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (the living Word), the New Covenant came into existence. The New Covenant is sealed with the blood of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 12:24).
Through regeneration in Christ, the new man is created. The new man is no longer the old man. Therefore, the new man is no longer a sinner.
The new man is justified by His blood and made holy in Jesus Christ and received the Holy Spirit. (a.o. Romans 3:25; 5:9, 19; Ephesians 1:7; Colossians 1:14; 1 John 3:7),
Through the abiding of the Holy Spirit, the will of God is written in the mind and upon the heart of the new man. As a result, the new man walks after the Spirit according to the Word in God’s wil.
The sons of God walk in the truth of God’s Word
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God (Romans 8:12-14)
God’s Word is the truth and God’s Word is settled forever. Nothing and nobody can do anything about it.
No one can change the truth of God’s Word.
Therefore, every theory, doctrine, and opinion, that opposes the Word of God (the Bible) should be rejected. So that, the people stay obedient to God and His Word and walk on God’s way.
God’s way is the way of life and leads to eternal life.
When you are born again and you believe in God, you believe in His Word and you obey the Word.
You shall do what the Word says, and be a doer of the Word.
If you do what the Bible says and obey the Word, you obey God. Through your obedience to God and keeping His commandments, you show Him that you love Him.
Through your faith in God and His Word and by being a doer of the Word, you’ll stay in Him. You shall walk after the Spirit in the truth of God’s Word, whereby you walk as the Word in the love of God on earth .
