Kitaabka Quduuska ah, Jesus spoke in several occasions about the commandments of God and His commandments. What did Jesus say about the ten commandments and other commandments of God and what are the commandments of Jesus? Do the commandments of Jesus contradict the commandments of God? Let’s look at what the Bible says about the commandments of God and the commandments of Jesus.
Waa kuma Ciise Masiix?
Jesus is often seen as a God, Who approves and accepts everything, oo ay ku jiraan dembiga, because of love, wada noolaansho, iyo nabad. Many people consider Jesus as some kind of new-age God. But Jesus Christ isn’t the Jesus of the new age!
Many Christians say they know Jesus and that they love Jesus, but do they really know Jesus and love Him? Because If they would know Jesus and love Him, they would obey Him. They would keep the commandments of Jesus Christ and apply the words of Jesus in their lives.
Kaniisado badan, the image of Jesus doesn’t correspond with the Word.
Just like His Father, Jesus Christ is a righteous God, Who doesn’t approve of sin.
Jesus knows that sin is rebellion and disobedience to God and obedience to the devil. Sin is bondage to the devil that leads to death.
“Daboollnimo, daboollnimo, Waxaan kugu leeyahay, Ku alla kii dembi galay waa addoonka dembiga” (John 8:34)
Ciise wuxuu yidhi, in haddii aad runtii isaga jeceshahay, as so many people confess with their mouths, you shall keep the commandments of Jesus and walk in the commandment of Jesus Christ (John 14:15).
Haddii aad jeceshahay Ciise Masiix, you shall keep the commandments of Jesus Christ. Markaa sidaas, Jesus Christ and the Father will be glorified and exalted through your life.
They honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far away from Me
Axdigii Hore, God spoke through the mouth of the prophet Isaiah and said, that His people confessed His Lordship over their lives. They honored God with their lips, but their hearts were far away from Him.
This people honours Me with their lips, laakiinse qalbigoodu waa iga fog yahay. Habase yeeshee micnela'aan bay ii caabudaan, oo wax ku baro amarrada dadka(Ishacyaah 29:13, Calaamadee 7:6-7)
What about your heart? Is your heart filled with the Word of God and the love for God and Jesus? Do you walk in the commandments of Jesus? Is that first love for Jesus present in your life?
If your heart is really devoted to Jesus, then you shall do, what He commanded you to do. You shall obey Him and walk in the commandments of Jesus.
Let us have a look at the commandments of God and the commandments of Jesus Christ. (note: I have not written down all the commandments of God, just the ten commandments, and some others. But when you see that the ten commandments of God are still valid, and line up with the commandments of Jesus Christ, you also know that all the other commandments are also still valid)
What are the ten commandments of God?
The Ten Commandments are the commandments of God that God gave Moses for His people. God told Moses: “Anigu waxaan ahay Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah, which has brought thee out of the land of Egypt, ka baxay gurigii addoonsiga.
- Aniga mooyaane ilaahyo kale waa inaanad lahaan.
- Waa inaanad samaysan sanam xardhan, ama wax u eg waxa samada sare yaal, ama waxa dhulka hoose yaal, ama waxa ku jira biyaha dhulka hoostiisa: Waa inaadan u sujuudin, umana adeegsado iyaga: waayo, aniga oo ah Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah waxaan ahay Ilaah masayr ah, oo xumaantii aabbayaasha soo gaadhsiiya carruurtooda tan iyo qarniga saddexaad iyo kan afraad ee kuwa i neceb; Oo aan u naxariisto kumanyaal kuwa i jecel, oo amarradayda xajiya.
- Waa inaanad magaca Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah si been ah ugu hadal qaadin; Waayo, Rabbigu eedlaawe u haysan maayo kii magiciisa si been ah ugu hadal qaada.
- Xusuuso maalinta sabtida, inay quduus ka dhigaan. Lix maalmood waa inaad hawshootaa, Shuqulkaaga oo dhanna samee: Laakiinse maalinta toddobaad waa sabtida Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah: oo waa inaydaan innaba shuqul qaban, adiga, ama wiilkaaga, sidoo kale gabadhaada, addoonkaaga, anoo addoonkaaga ah, iyo xoolahaaga, Ama shisheeyaha irdahaaga ku jira: Waayo, Rabbigu lix maalmood buu ku sameeyey samada iyo dhulka, badda, iyo waxa ku jira oo dhan, oo maalintii toddobaad nastay: sidaas daraaddeed ayaa Rabbigu u barakeeyey sabtidii, oo xurmeeyey.
- Aabbahaa iyo hooyadaa maamuus: si cimrigaagu ugu dheeraado dalka Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ahu uu ku siinayo.
- Waa inaadan dilin.
- Waa inaanad sinaysan.
- Waa inaanad waxba xadin.
- Waa inaadan deriskaaga marag been ah ku furin.
- Waa inaanad damcin guriga deriskaaga, Waa inaanad damcin naagta deriskaaga, ama addoonkiisa, mana u adeegaan, iyo dibigiisa, mana dabada, iyo wax kasta oo deriskaagu leeyahay”
What are the commandments of God and the commandments of Jesus Christ?
Hadda, let’s have a look at the commandments of God and the commandments of Jesus Christ. Let’s see, what Jesus said about the commandments of God and whether the commandments of Jesus Christ correspond with the commandments of God or not, and what else Jesus said to His disciples.
No other gods before God
Ilaah ayaa yidhi:
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, ama wax u eg waxa samada sare yaal, ama waxa dhulka hoose yaal, ama waxa ku jira biyaha dhulka hoostiisa: Waa inaadan u sujuudin, umana adeegsado iyaga: waayo, aniga oo ah Rabbiga Ilaahiinna ah waxaan ahay Ilaah masayr ah, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”
Ciise wuxuu yidhi:
“Waa inaad Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah ka jeclaataa qalbigaaga oo dhan, Iyo naftaada oo dhan, iyo maskaxdaada oo dhan” (Matthew 22:37, Calaamadee 12:29-30)
“Habase yeeshee micnela'aan bay ii caabudaan, oo wax ku baro amarrada dadka. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups:and many other such like things ye do. Markaasuu ku yidhi, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition” (Calaamadee 7:7-9)
The Sabbath day
Ilaah ayaa yidhi:
“Xusuuso maalinta sabtida, inay quduus ka dhigaan. Lix maalmood waa inaad hawshootaa, Shuqulkaaga oo dhanna samee: Laakiinse maalinta toddobaad waa sabtida Rabbiga Ilaahaaga ah: oo waa inaydaan innaba shuqul qaban, adiga, ama wiilkaaga, sidoo kale gabadhaada, addoonkaaga, anoo addoonkaaga ah, iyo xoolahaaga, Ama shisheeyaha irdahaaga ku jira: Waayo, Rabbigu lix maalmood buu ku sameeyey samada iyo dhulka, badda, iyo waxa ku jira oo dhan, oo maalintii toddobaad nastay: sidaas daraaddeed ayaa Rabbigu u barakeeyey sabtidii, oo xurmeeyey”.
Ciise wuxuu yidhi:
“For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day” (Matthew 12:8, Luukos 6:5)
“The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath” (Calaamadee 2:27-28)
Do not kill
Ilaah ayaa yidhi:
“Waa inaadan dilin”
Ciise wuxuu yidhi:
“But I say unto you, In ku alla kii walaalkiis xanaaqo sabab aan sabab lahayn garsooridda: Oo ku alla kii walaalkiis ku odhan doona, Xaraf, khatar ayey ku jiri doontaa golaha: Laakiin ku alla kii odhan doona, Doqon, waxay khatar ku tahay dabka cadaabta. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift” (Matthew 5:22-25)
“Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing” (Matthew 5:25-26, Luukos 12:58-59)
Si qasab ah
Ilaah ayaa yidhi:
“Waa inaanad sinaysan”
Ciise wuxuu yidhi:
“You have heard that it was said by them of old time, Waa inaanad sinaysan: Laakiin waxaan kugu leeyahay, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, ka soo baxaan, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, ka jaray, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell” (Matthew 5:27-30, Calaamadee 9:43-48).
“It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: Laakiin waxaan kugu leeyahay, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery” (Matthew 5:31-32)
“Wherefore they are no more twain, laakiin waa isku hilib. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. Waxaan idinku leeyahay, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, wuu sinaystaa: and whoso marries her which is put away doth commit adultery” (Matthew 19:6, 8-9)
“For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. Laakiin tan iyo bilowgii abuurniinta Ilaah wuxuu sameeyey lab iyo dhaddig. Sababtaas aawadeed nin wuxuu ka tegayaa aabbihiis iyo hooyadiis, oo naagtiisa ku dheggan; Oo labadooduba waxay noqonayaan isku jidh: Markaa iyagu mar dambe ma aha laba, laakiin waa isku hilib. What therefore God “hath joined together, let not man put asunder. And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, commits adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she commits adultery” (Calaamadee 10: 5-12)
“Ku alla kii naagtiisa furaa, mid kalena guursada, wuu sinaystaa: oo ku alla kii guursada tii ninkeeda laga furay wuu sinaystaa” (Luukos 16:18)
Oaths
Ilaah ayaa yidhi:
“Thou shalt not forswear thyself shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths”
Ciise wuxuu yidhi:
Mar kale, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: Laakiin waxaan kugu leeyahay, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. But let your communication be, Haa, haa; SaY, maya: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil (Matthew 5:33-37)
Bakhaylnimada
Ilaah ayaa yidhi:
“Waa inaanad damcin guriga deriskaaga, Waa inaanad damcin naagta deriskaaga, ama addoonkiisa, mana u adeegaan, iyo dibigiisa, mana dabada, iyo wax kasta oo deriskaagu leeyahay”
Ciise wuxuu yidhi:
“Take heed, Bakhaylnimadana iska ilaali: Waayo, nin noloshu kuma jirto maal badan oo uu haysto (Luukos 12:15)
An eye for an eye
Ilaah ayaa yidhi:
“Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth”
Ciise wuxuu yidhi:
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: Laakiin waxaan kugu leeyahay, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. Give to him that asks thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away” (Matthew 5:38-42)”
Love your neighbour
Ilaah ayaa yidhi:
“Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy”
Ciise wuxuu yidhi:
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. Laakiin waxaan kugu leeyahay, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, oo idin silcin; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Waayo, haddaad jeceshihiin kuwa idin jecel, abaalkee baad haysaan? Xataa cashuurqaadayaashuna sidaas oo kale ha yeelin? Haddaad salaantaan walaalihiin oo keliya, maxaad ka badan tahay kuwa kale? xataa cashuurqaadayaasha sidaas ma aha? Haddaba kaamil ahaada, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:43-48, Calaamadee 12:31)
“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. And unto him that smites thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. Give to every man that asks of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
Waayo, haddaad jeceshihiin kuwa idin jecel, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. But love ye your enemies, wanaagna samee, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil” (Luukos 6:27-35)
What did Jesus say about…
Hadda, let’s have a look at what Jesus said and what the commandments of Jesus Christ were about the following subjects.
Being merciful
“Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful” (Luukos 6:36)
Giving alms (gifts)
“Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Runtii waxaan idinku leeyahay, Waxay leeyihiin abaalmarintooda. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand does: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly” (Matthew 6:1-4)
Prayer
“And when thou pray, Waa inaadan u ekaan sida munaafiqiintu tahay: waayo, waxay jecel yihiin inay ku tukadaan iyagoo taagan sunagogyada iyo geesaha waddooyinka, in laga yaabo inay dadka ka muuqdaan. Runtii waxaan idinku leeyahay, Waxay leeyihiin abaalmarintooda. Laakiin adigu, markaad tukanayso, Gali armaajogaaga, Oo markaad albaabkaaga xidho, U soo ducee aabbahaaga sirta ah; oo aabbahaana qarsoodi u arkaa ayaa kuu abaal mari doona si furan.
Laakiin markaad tukanaysaan, ha isticmaalin ku celcelin aan macno lahayn, sida Gaaladu sameeyaan: waayo, waxay u malaynayaan in iyaga loo maqli doono hadalkooda badan aawadood. Haddaba sidaas daraaddeed ha ahaanina sidooda oo kale: for your Father knows what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Haddaba sidaas daraaddeed u duceeya: Aabaheena jannada ku jira, Magacaaga ha ahaado. Boqortooyadaadu ha timaado. Dhulkaaga waxaa lagu samayn doonaa dhulka, Sida ay jannada ku jirto. Maanta na sii kibisteena maalinlaha ah. Oo naga cafi qaamahayaga, sida aan u cafinno kuwa nagu leh. Oo jirrabaadda ha noo kaxayn, laakiin sharka naga badbaadi: Waayo, waa boqortooyada, iyo awooda, Iyo ammaanta, weligiis. Amen” (Matthew 6:5-13, Luukos 11:2-4)
Answered Prayers
“Ask, oo waa lagu siin doonaa; raadi, oo waad heli doontaan; garaacid, oo waa laydinka furi doonaa: For every one that asks receives; kii doonana waa helaa; kii garaacana waa laga furi doonaa. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, dhagax miyuu siin doonaa? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? Haddaad markaa, xumaan ahaansho, Baro sidaad hadiyado wanaagsan u siin lahaydeen carruurtiinna, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him” (Matthew 7:7-11, Luke11:9-3)
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive” (Matthew 21:22)
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, cafi, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses” (Calaamadee 11:24-26)
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, waa inaad weyddiisaan waxaad doontaan, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7)
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you” (John 15:16, 16:23-24)
“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:19-20)
Binding and loosing; permit and forbid
“Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 18:18)
Forgiveness
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, Aabbihiinna jannada ku jira ayaa idin cafiyi doona: Laakiin haddaydaan dadka cafiyin, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14-15)
Then came Peter to him, oo yidhi, Rabbiyow, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Ciise ayaa ku yidhi, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: laakiin, Until seventy times seven” (Matthew 18:21-22)
“Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven” (Luukos 6:37)
“Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, canaanan isaga; Oo hadduu toobad keeno, isaga cafi. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, isagoo leh, I repent; thou shalt forgive him” (Luukos 17:3-4)
Fasting
“Moreover when ye fast be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Runtii waxaan idinku leeyahay, Waxay leeyihiin abaalmarintooda. Laakiin adigu, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret:and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly” (Matthew 6:16-18) (Sidoo kale akhri: Waa maxay sooman?)
Gathering treasures on earth
“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, Meesha aboor iyo miridhkuba kharribaan, iyo meesha tuugtu soo dhex gasho oo ay xadaan: Laakiin jannada ku urursada maal;, Meesha aboor iyo miridhku midna aanu kharribin, iyo meel aanay tuugtu jabin oo aanay wax xadin: Meesha hantidaadu taal, there will your heart be also” (Matthew 6:19-21)
“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that fails not, where no thief approaches, neither moth corrupts. Meesha hantidaadu taal, there will your heart be also” (Luukos 12:32-34)
The eye; the light of the body
“The light of the body is the eye: haddaba hadday ishaadu qumman tahay, Jidhkaaga oo dhammu waa iftiimi doonaa. Haddii ishaadu xun tahay, Jidhkaaga oo dhan gudcur buu ahaan doonaa. Haddaba iftiinka kugu jira hadduu gudcur yahay, Mugdigaas sidee buu u weyn yahay!” (Matthew 6:22-23, Luukos 11:33-36)
Jacaylka Eebbe, and the love for the world (shaydaanka)
“No man can serve two masters: waayo, midkood wuu nacayaa, oo jecel kan kale; haddii kalese mid buu ku dheggan yahay, kan kalena quudhsada. Ye cannot serve God and mammon” (Matthew 6:24)
Waxaan idinku leeyahay, “Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; waxaas, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters: waayo, midkood wuu nacayaa, oo jecel kan kale; haddii kalese mid buu ku dheggan yahay, kan kalena quudhsada. Ye cannot serve God and mammon” (Luukos 16:9-14)
“If the adduun hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. Haddaad ka mid tihiin dunida, Dunidu way jeclaan lahayd isaga: Laakiin maxaa yeelay, dunida ma tihid, laakiin waxaan kaa doortay dunida, Sidaa darteed adduunku wuu ku necbahay. Xusuusnow eraygii aan kugu idhi, Addoonku kama weyna sayidkiisa. If they have persecuted me, Iyaguna way idin silcin doonaan; if they have kept my saying, iyaguna way xajin doonaan (John 15:18-20)
Worry
“Therefore I say unto you, Noloshaada ha u fikirin, Wixiiad cuni doontaan, ama wixii aad ka cabtaan; weli jidhkaagana, Wixii aad gashataa. Ma aha nolosha ka badan hilibka, Iyo jirka ka badan dharka? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Saadaaf, Haddii Ilaah sidaas u xidho cawska duurka, taas oo maanta jirta, Berritona waxaa lagu tuuraa foornada, Miyuusan wax badan ku xidhin adiga, Waa inaad iimaanka yar yaddaa? Haddaba ha ka fikirina, isagoo leh, Maxaan cuni doonnaa? ama, Maxaan cabnaa? ama, Maxaan ku huwanaynaa? (Waayo, quruumuhu waxaas oo dhan ayay doondoonaan:) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. Laakiin horta doondoona boqortooyadii Ilaah, iyo xaqnimadiisa; Waxyaalahan oo dhan waa laydinku dari doonaa. Haddaba berrito ha ka welwelina: waayo, berrito isagay ka fikiri doontaa. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof” (Matthew 6:25-34, Luukos 12:22-32)
“And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, iyo awoodaha, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say “(Luukos 12:11-12)
Judging
“Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholds thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considers not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; iyo, bal eeg, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye” (Matthew 7:1-6, Luukos 6:41-42)
“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you“ (Matthew 7:6)
“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment” (John 7:24)
“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: cafi, and ye shall be forgiven: Siin, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luukos 6:37)
Deriskaaga u jeclaada sida naftaada oo kale
“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets” (Matthew 7:12)
“Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” (Matthew 22:40)
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; sidaan kuu jeclaaday, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34-35, John 15:12)
Cadaadis
“The disciple is not above his master, Addoonna sayidkiisa ka sarreeyo. Waa ku filan tahay qof xer ah inuu noqdo sida sayidkiisa, addoonkuna sida sayidkiisa oo kale. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
Waxa aan kuu sheego gudcurka, ee ku hadla iftiinka: iyo waxaad dhegta ka maqasho, oo guryaha dushooda wax kaga wacdiya. Ha ka cabsanina kuwa jidhka dila, laakiin ma awoodaan inay nafta dilaan: Laakiin ka cabsada kan jahannamada ku baabbi'in kara nafta iyo jidhkaba. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:24-31)
Confess or deny Jesus before people
“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, Aniguna waxaan ku qiran doonaa Aabbahayga jannada ku jira hortiisa. Laakiin ku alla kii igu diida dadka hortiisa, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 10:32-33, Luukos 12:8-9)
Clean and unclean
Not that which goeth into the mouth defiles a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defiles a man. Whatsoever enters in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, dilid, siday, si isgaarsi ah, xatooyo, marag been ah, cay: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands defiles not a man (Matthew 15:12, Matthew 17-20, Calaamadee 7:15-23)
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks” (Luukos 6:45)
Ciise oo raacaya, and dying to ‘self’
“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: Uma imid inaan diro nabada, laakiin seef. Waayo, waxaan u imid inaan nin ka dhigo nin kala jaad ah aabihiis, iyo gabadhu waxay ka soo horjeedaa hooyadeed, iyo gabadhu soddohdeeda hooyadeed. Oo nin cadowga ninna waa inuu ahaadaa dadka reerkiisa. He that loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Oo kii aan iskutallaabtiisu qaato, and follows after me, ma istaahilo. Kii naftiisa helaa inuu lumin doono: and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it” (Matthew 10:34-39, Luukos 12:49-53, Luukos 14:26-27)
Haddii nin doonayo inuu iga daba yimaado, Isaga ha dafiro nafsaddiisa, oo iskutallaabtiisa qaado, I soo raac. Waayo, ku alla kii naftiisa badbaadiya waa lumin doonaa: oo ku alla kii naftiisa u lumiya aawaday waa heli doonaa. (Matthew 16:24-25)
“Whosoever will come after me, Isaga ha dafiro nafsaddiisa, oo iskutallaabtiisa qaado, oo i soo raac. Waayo, ku alla kii naftiisa badbaadiya waa lumin doonaa; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, isku mid ayaa badbaadin doona. For what shall it profit a man, hadduu dunida oo dhan helo, oo naftiisa lumiyo? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; Oo weliba Wiilka Aadanahu wuu ceeboobi doonaa, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels” (Calaamadee 8:34-38)
Haddii nin doonayo inuu iga daba yimaado, Isaga ha dafiro nafsaddiisa, iskutallaabtiisana maalin walba qaado, I soo raac. Waayo, ku alla kii naftiisa badbaadiya waa lumin doonaa: Laakiin kan naftiisa u lumiya aawaday, isku mid ayaa badbaadin doona. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of My words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He shall come in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels” (Luukos 9:23-26)
“The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master”(Luukos 6:40)
“So likewise, mid kasta oo idinka mid ah oo aan ka tagin waxa uu haysto oo dhan, he cannot be My disciple”(Luukos 14:33)
“If ye continue in My word, Haddaba idinku waxaad tihiin xertaydii; Oo waxaad ogaan doontaan runta, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32)
“Verily, daboollnimo, Waxaan kugu leeyahay, Marka laga reebo hadhuudh ka mid ah qamadiga dhulka ku soo dhaca oo dhinta, Waxay ku sii jirtaa kaligeed: Laakiin haddii ay dhinto, Waxay soo saartaa miro badan. Kii naftiisa jecel ayaa lumin doona; Oo kii naftiisa neceb dunidan, waa inuu ku dhawraa nolosha weligeed ah. Haddii nin ii adeego, ha i raaco; iyo meesha aan joogo, Oo midiidinkayguna wuxuu noqon doonaa midiidinkayguna: Haddii nin ii adeego, him will My Father honour” (John 12:24-26)
“He that hath My commandments, oo iyaga ka ilaaliya, Isaga waa aniga i jecel: Oo kii i jecelna waxaa laga doodi doonaa aabbahay, oo waan jeclaan doonaa isaga, oo isna iscasili doona isaga. Haddii nin i jeclaado, Erayadayda wuu hayn doonaa: Oo aabbahay wuu jeclaan doonaa isaga, oo annaguna waan u nimid isaga, Oo isagaan la joogaa isaga. Kii aan i jeclayn, erayadayda ma xajiyo: Ereygiina waad maqlaysaan ma taqaanno, laakiin aabaha ayaa i soo diray (John 14:21, 23-24)
“If ye continue in My word, Haddaba idinku waxaad tihiin xertaydii; Oo waxaad ogaan doontaan runta, and the truth shall make you free” (John 15:10)
Daboollnimo, daboollnimo, Waxaan kugu leeyahay, Marka laga reebo nin mar labaad dhalanaya, Isagu ma arki karo boqortooyada Ilaah (John 3:3)
Carruurta
“Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receives me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea” (Matthw 18:3-6, Calaamadee 9:36-37,42, Luukos 9:48, 18:16-17)
"Carruur yar yar oo dhibban, oo ha u diidin, to come unto Me: waayo, kuwan oo kale ayaa ka mid ah boqortooyada jannada. (Matthew 19:14, Calaamadee 10:13-15)
Sin and sinning
“Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, u tag oo u sheeg qaladkiisa adiga iyo isaga oo keliya:hadduu ku maqlo, walaalkaa waad heshay. Laakiin hadduu ku maqli waayo, markaas qaado mid ama laba kale, in afka laba ama saddex marqaati eray kasta waa la dhisi karaa. Oo haddii uu illoobo inuu maqlo, Usheeg kaniisadda: Laakiin haddii uu dayaco kaniisadda, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican” (Matthew 18:15-17)
“Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, canaanan isaga; Oo hadduu toobad keeno, forgive him.” (Luukos 17:3-4)
“Verily, daboollnimo, Waxaan kugu leeyahay, Ku alla kii dembi sameeyaa waa addoonkii dembiga. (John 8:34)
“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believes on me should not abide in darkness” (John 12:46)
Paying taxes
“Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s“( Matthew 22:21, Calaamadee 12:17, Luukos 20:25)
The Holy Ghost
“But the Comforter, Waa kuwee Ruuxa Quduuska ah, Oo uu Aabbuhu magacayga u diri doono, Oo wax walba wuu ku bari doonaa, oo wax walba u soo celi xusuustaada, whatsoever I have said unto you” (John 14:26)
“Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: because they said, He hath an unclean spirit” (Calaamadee 3:28-30)
“And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemes against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven” (Luukos 12:10)
Disobedience to Jesus Christ
“And why call ye Me, Rabbiyow, Rabbiyow, Oo waxaan leeyahay ha samaynina?” (Luukos 6:46)
“He that rejects Me, Oo hadalkayga ma aqbalo, hath one that judges him: Ereyga aan ku hadlay, Isla sidaas oo kale ayuu u xukumi doonaa maalinta u dambaysa. Waayo, anigu iskama hadlin; but the Father which sent me, amar buu i siiyey, waxa aan dhaho, iyo waxa aan ku hadlo. Oo waan ogahay in amarkiisu yahay nolosha weligeed ah: wax kasta oo aan ka hadlo, xataa sidii uu Aabbuhu igu yidhi, so I speak” (John 12:48-50)
Addeecid Eebbe
“For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, iyo walaasha, and mother” (Matthew 12:50)
“For whosoever shall do the will of God, Isla sidaas waa walaalkay, Iyo walaashay, and mother” (Calaamadee 3:35)
“My mother and My brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it” (Luukos 8:21)
“Why calls thou Me good? Mid wanaagsan mooyee mid kale ma jiro, taasi waa, Ilaahow: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments Thou shalt do no murder, Waa inaanad sinaysan, Waa inaanad waxba xadin, Waa inaanad marag been ah furin, Aabbahaa iyo hooyadaa maamuus: iyo, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” (Matthew 19:17, Matthew 18-19, Luukos 18-19).
The past
“No man, Isaga oo gacanta u saaray, oo dib u fiiri, is fit for the kingdom of God” (Luukos 9:62)
Titles and positions
“But be not ye called Rabbi: Waayo, mid baa Sayidkiinna ah, xitaa xitaa Masiixa; oo dhammaantiin waxaad tihiin walaalo. Ninna dhulka ha ugu yeedhina aabbe: waayo, mid baa Aabbihiin ah, oo jannada ku jira. Yaan laydiinku yeedhin sayidyo: Waayo, mid baa Sayidkiinna ah, xitaa xitaa Masiixa. Laakiin kan idiinku weyn waa inuu ahaado midiidinkiinna. Oo ku alla kii isa sarraysiiya waa la hoosaysiin doonaa; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted” (Matthew 23:8-11)
“For whosoever exalts himself shall be abased; and he that humbles himself shall be exalted” (Luukos 14:11, Luukos 18:14)
“Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knows your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God” (Luukos 16:15)
“Labour not for the meat which perishes, but for that meat which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed” (John 6:27, 29)
Communion
“Jesus took bread, oo barakeeyey, oo jebiyay, oo xertii siiyey, oo yidhi, Qaado, cun; Kanu waa jidhkayga. Koobkiina wuu qaatay, mahadna u jeediyey, oo siiyey, isagoo leh, Kulligiin cabba; For this is My blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins” (Matthew 26:26-28, Calaamadee 14:22-24, Luukos 21:17-20)
“Verily, daboollnimo, Waxaan kugu leeyahay, Haddaydnan cunin hilibka Wiilka Aadanaha, oo dhiiggiisa cab, Nolol kuma lihidin. Whoso eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, hath eternal life; oo isagaan soo sara kicin doonaa maalinta u dambaysa. For my flesh is meat indeed, Dhiiggayguna runtii waa cabniin. He that eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, igu dhex degto, aniguna isaga ayaan ku jiraa. As the living Father hath sent Me, anna waxaan ku noolahay xagga Aabbaha: haddaba kii i cuna, Isagu adayday ku noolaan doonaa. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live for ever” (John 6:53-58)
The great commission
“Verily, daboollnimo, Waxaan kugu leeyahay, Kii i rumaystaa, Shuqullada aan sameeyo wuu samayn doonaa; Iyo shuqullo ka waaweyn kuwanigood isagaa samayn doonaa; maxaa yeelay aabbahay waan aado. Oo wax alla wixii aad magacayga ku weyddiisataan, taasi waan samayn doonaa, in Aabbuhu ku ammaano wiilka. Haddaad wax ku weyddiisaan magacayga, I will do it” (John 14:12-14)
“Peace be unto you: as My Father hath sent Me, Xitaa sidaas oo kale kuu soo dir adiga. Oo markuu waxaas yidhi, Wuu ku neefsaday, oo ku yidhi iyaga, Qaado Ruuxa Quduuska ah: Oo kastoo aad dembaabi doontaan waxaad soo saartaa, waa loo soo celiyaa iyaga; oo kan kastoo aad dembaabaysaan oo aad haysataan, Waa la hakiyey! (John 20:21-23)
“All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Haddaba taga, oo quruumaha oo dhan baro, iyaga ku baabtiisa magaca Aabbaha, iyo Wiilka, iyo Ruuxa Quduuska ah: Bar inay dhawraan wax walba oo aan idinku amray: iyo, lo, Mar walba waan kula joogaa, xataa ilaa aakhirka aduunka. Amen” (Matthew 28:18-20)
“Go ye into all the world, oo injiilka ku wacdiya makhluuqa kasta. Kii rumaysta oo la baabtiisaa waa badbaadi doonaa; Laakiin kii rumaysta waa la xukumayaa. The conclusion
Jesus has given many more commandments and promises. But as you can see, Jesus didn’t annul and destroy the commandments of the Lord God. Jesus commanded to keep the commandments of the Father and to do His will. Jesus even adjusted and ‘sharpened’ some commandments of God and added commandments.
Ciise wuxuu yidhi, that on two commandments the whole law of the prophets hangs.
The first commandment is to Love the Lord God, with your whole heart, naf, iyo maskaxda.
The second commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself.
Hadii aad hayn these two commandments, then you shall fulfill the whole Sharciga Eebbe.
Ciise wuxuu yidhi: “love one another; sidaan kuu jeclaaday, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another” (John 13:34-35). (Qorid: Ciise wuxuu u jeeday a righteous love oo aan a false love)
Aabaha, Ciise, and the Holy Ghost bear witness of Each Other. They’llnever contradict Each Other. They have the same character and nature. They’re connected with Each Other and are One; a Unity.
When the Lord God gave His commandments; the ten commandments, and all the other commandments, to Moses, Ciise (Erayga) and the Holy Ghost were present. The commandments of Jesus Christ are of the same mind as the commandments of God. Jesus Christ is the Word of God and that shall never change!
God’s love towards people
You can only see and experience the great love of the Lord God in the moral part of the law; Amarkiisa, when you become a abuur cusub; ku dhashay biyo iyo ruux. Maxaa yeelay markaa, you shall be able to see, faham, fahmid, and experience the (ee naf) things of the (ee naf) Boqortooyada Ilaahay.
Markaad Jeceshahay Ciise, you will keep the commandments of Jesus Christ (kuwaas oo ay ku jiraan amarrada Eebbe).
Ciise wuxuu yidhi: “For I have not spoken of Myself; laakiin aabaha i soo diray, Wuxuu i siiyey amar, waxa aan dhaho, iyo waxa aan ku hadlo. Oo waan ogahay in amarkiisu yahay nolosha weligeed ah: wax kasta oo aan ka hadlo, xataa sidii uu Aabbuhu igu yidhi, so I speak” (John 12:49-50)
Waxaan jeclaan lahaa inaan ku dhiirrigeliyo, to look into these scriptures. Ogow, and see for yourself, in Ciise never annulled, nor destroyed the ten commandments. Jesus Christ fulfilled the law in the power of the Holy Ghost. Iyo adiga, abuurista cusub, have the same Spirit. Therefore you are also able to fulfill the law. His law and His commandments are written in your heart and if you really love Him, then you will submit to Him and keep the commandments of Jesus and do what He has commanded you to do.
