A daily confession
A merry heart makes my countenance cheerful,
but by sorrow of the heart my spirit will be broken
A merry heart does good like a medicine,
but a broken spirit dries my bones
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to my soul,
and health to my bones
I shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord
For the grave can’t praise You, death can’t celebrate You,
but the living shall praise You Lord, as I do this day
Waan kugu mahad naqi doonaa, waayo, cabsi baan ahay oo la yaab leh
into Your image
I thank you, for You are with me, You are on my side,
Ma cabsan doono; what can man do unto me?
You have not given me the spirit of fear,
Laakiin awooda, jacaylka iyo maskaxda codka
Ma jirto cabsi jacayl; but perfect love casts out fear:
waayo cabsidu waxay leedahay cadaab.
Kii cabsadaa, jacayl kuma qummana
I will love You, my Lord, Ilaahayow, qalbigayga oo dhan, and with all my soul and with all my mind
I will love my neighbor as myself and yes, I shall also love myself
You have loved me, therefore I will also love my neighbor.
You dwell in me and Your love is perfected in me, therefore I shall love my neighbor
I will keep myself in Your love oh God, by building myself up
in my most holy faith, ku tukanaya Ruuxa Quduuska ah
