But as soon as you take hold of the saving arm of the Lord God and by faith you repent and become born in Christ and depart from evil and walk in the light according to the will of God, you make yourself a prey.
If you depart from evil, you make yourself a prey
If you depart from evil, you become a prey for the ruler of the world and of the darkness, дьявол, и княжества, полномочия, правители тьмы этого мира, and spiritual wickedness in the heavenly places.
They shall attack you in your mind and through the people around you, with one mission, который, that you succumb for the will of the ruler of the world, дьявол, and compromise with evil.
The prophets were a living prey, who were devoured by the raging wolves
The prophets in the Old Covenant were a prey, who were devoured by the raging wolves. The raging wolves constantly chased them, since they призывал людей к покаянию; turn away from evil, Устранение греха, obedience to God and keeping the Law and God’s commandments.
God knew that His prophets were living preys for the wicked and fallen man. God knew what the result would be of sending them and what it would meant for their lives.

But the apostate man didn’t appreciate the words of the prophets. They didn’t like their message, because the words of God revealed their wickedness and sin.
They didn’t tolerate their message of repentance and refused to repent from evil.
Instead of repenting from evil, they fired up the evil inside of them by killing the prophets.
Almost all the prophets of the Old Covenant were killed, due to the words they spoke and the lives they lived.
The blood of the prophets flowed richly and their bloodguilt became bigger. The blood cried from the earth and accused the murderers, but it wasn’t the time of retaliation yet.

After His prophets, Бог послал Своего Сына, who would be His arm and the Mediator between fallen man and God and deal with evil.
God knew what the coming of the living Word would mean to Jesus and how His life would be. But especially, how Jesus’ life would end.
Однако, despite this knowledge Бог послал Своего Сына. It was necessary to send His Son to the earth, because there was nobody else who could be His arm and Mediator.
Nobody was righteous, no not one. They were all sinners, who lived separated from God in darkness and did the evil works of the flesh.
И так, the Light came into the world and through the Light the lies and evil works of darkness became visible.
Jesus didn’t believe the lies of the world but refuted them with the truth of God. Jesus didn’t accept the works of the world, but testified that they were evil and разрушил дела тьмы.
The true Shepherd gathered the sheep and kept the flock with the staff of God’s righteousness
The sheep that were scattered through the lying words and wicked works (грех) of the shepherds, were gathered together by the truth of the true Shepherd. They were not only gathered together but also fed and kept with the staff of God’s righteousness (Ой. Исайя 59; Иеремия 33:14-16; Иезекииль 34; Zephaniah 3:1-5).
The good Shepherd looked out for the sheep and cared and nurtured them by leading them on the right path and to let them graze in the right pasture. The sheep listened to His voice и следовал за ним (Ой. Джон 10).
The Shepherd was trustworthy and did what He promised and gave His life for His sheep.
He protected His sheep against the raging wolves by dealing with them with the truth, revealing their true nature, and keeping them away from the sheep.
He made it clear that these wolves were not appreciated.
His words and behavior led to aversion with the other shepherds, who by the walk and talk of this Shepherd were confronted with their lying words and evil walk.
His righteousness led to anger and hate and executing the same plan as their fathers, who silenced the prophets by killing them.
Jesus departed from evil and made Himself a prey
Jesus didn’t compromise and partake of evil, but he resisted and departed from evil. Because He didn’t compromise but departed from evil He made himself a prey to the evil of mankind and was captivated, tortured, и распятый.
Because they walked in darkness, they didn’t know Who they were dealing with. They didn’t know Who stood in front of them, Who they tortured, and Who they killed.
They didn’t have a clue, that they killed the Son of God and their promised Messiah.
God used man’s evil to accomplish His redemptive work for fallen man
And so God used evil and accomplished His redemption plan for fallen man by man’s evil, knowing that the people, who would be justified by this redemptive work and the precious blood of His Son, would wait the same thing as the prophets and His Son Jesus the Christ.

The believers depart from evil and are a prey in this world
Блаженны гонимые за правду’ sake for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven (Мэтью 5:10)
The believers and sons of God (как мужчины, так и женщины) belong to God’s Kingdom and live according to the law of this Kingdom, which is written upon their new heart by the Holy Spirit who abides in them.
They don’t belong to the world, но Богу. They don’t love the world, but they love God. And God also loves His own, but they shall be hated by the world, because Christ lives in them.
They pray and abide in the Word and walk in righteousness in the truth of God’s Word and separate themselves from evil.
Through their righteous walk after the Spirit in the light, they testify with – or without words, что дела мира; the works of the flesh in which the sinful nature reigns, злые.
Through this testimony, by speaking the words of God and their walk that doesn’t participate in evil and doesn’t partake in sin and the works of darkness, they make themselves a prey and stay a prey until their time on earth is finished.
