The faithfulness of the Rechabites to the words of their father

Em Jeremias 35, we read about the Rechabites, who didn’t compromise under any condition but stayed loyal to the voice and words of their father.
The prophet Jeremiah was sent by God to go unto the house of the Rechabites and speak to them and bring them into one of the chambers of the house of the Lord and give them wine to drink.
Jeremiah did according to the words of God and went to the house of the Rechabites and brought the whole house to the house of the Lord and set before them pots of wine and commanded them to drink the wine.
No entanto, the Rechabites refused to drink the wine, since their father Jonadab, the son of Rechab, commanded them and their sons to not drink wine, neither build houses, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any, but all their days, they would dwell in tents, so that they might live many days in the land where they would be strangers.
The men, their wives, filhos, and daughters had stayed loyal and obedient to the voice and words of their father and did according to his commandments. When Nebuchadrezzar, the king of Babylon, came up into the land, they decided to go to Jerusalem, for fear of the army of the Chaldeans and for fear of the army of the Syrians. And so the Rechabites dwelled in Jerusalem.
The word of the Lord to Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem
After the Rechabites refused to drink wine and after their testimony, the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah, ditado:
“Thus saith the Lord of hosts, o Deus de Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to My words? diz o Senhor. The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; porque até hoje não beberam nada, mas obedeçam ao mandamento de seu pai: apesar de eu ter falado com você, levantando cedo e falando; mas vós não me ouvistes.
Também vos enviei todos os meus servos, os profetas, levantando cedo e enviando-os, ditado, Retorne agora cada homem do seu mau caminho, e alterar suas ações, e não vá atrás de outros deuses para servi-los, e habitareis na terra que dei a vós e a vossos pais: mas não inclinastes o ouvido, nem me ouviste.
Porque os filhos de Jonadabe, filho de Recabe, cumpriram a ordem de seu pai, que ele lhes ordenou; mas este povo não me ouviu: Portanto assim diz o Senhor Deus dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel; Contemplar, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.”.
The word of the Lord to the house of the Rechabites
But Jeremiah said to the house of the Rechabites:
“Thus saith the Lord of hosts, o Deus de Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you: Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, o Deus de Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before Me for ever.” (Jeremias 35)
God tested the house of the Rechabites and through their obedience to the commandment of their father, by refusing to drink wine, they showed their fear, amor, e fidelidade ao mandamento de seu pai e se tornaram um testemunho e um exemplo para o povo de Deus.
Visto que o povo de Deus não ouviu a voz e os mandamentos de Deus, mas foram rebeldes e desobedientes a Deus e aos Seus mandamentos, apesar das advertências de Deus através de Seus servos, os profetas e o chamado ao arrependimento.

Infelizmente, O povo de Deus na Nova Aliança tem a mesma atitude que o povo de Deus na Antiga Aliança (Leia também: ‘De volta à Antiga Aliança?').
Muitos crentes sucumbem em vez de permanecerem firmes na Palavra
Em vez de os crentes permanecerem firmes na Palavra de Deus e permanecerem fiéis e obedientes a Jesus Cristo e Seus mandamentos, que derivam do Pai, e assim como os recabitas, não será movido por situações, nem enganado e tentado por ninguém, não pelo mundo e não pelos profetas, pregadores e reverendos, que pregam algo contrário à Palavra, e não comprometa e mude as palavras de Deus, eles são tentados e enganados e abandonam as palavras e mandamentos de Deus e comprometem e ajustam as palavras e mandamentos de Deus e entram no caminho amplo do mundo..
Eles dizem que acreditam e amam a Deus e pertencem a Ele, mas por suas ações, eles mostram o oposto.
Porque Jesus diz, “Se você me ama, guarda os meus mandamentos“ e "Aquele que tem meus mandamentos, e os mantém, ele é quem me ama: e quem me ama será amado por meu Pai, e eu vou amá-lo, e me manifestarei a ele” (John 14:15, 31)
Muitos chamam Jesus de Senhor, mas eles não se submetem a Ele e não fazem o que Ele diz, mas ajuste Suas palavras e viva em rebelião contra Ele (Leia também: ‘A diferença entre as ovelhas e as cabras').
Os filhos de Deus ouvem seu Pai e acreditam em Suas palavras e obedecem a seu Pai e se afastam da iniquidade
No entanto, o fundamento de Deus permanece seguro, tendo esse selo, o Senhor conhece os que são Seus. E, Que todo aquele que nomeia o Nome de Cristo se afaste da iniquidade (2 Timóteo 2:19)
Muitas igrejas transigiram e tornaram-se semelhantes ao mundo e andam segundo a carne. Em vez de se afastar da iniqüidade, eles permitiram a iniquidade e o pecado sob falsos pretextos, por meio do qual muitas igrejas estão assentadas na escuridão (Leia também: ‘A igreja sentada na escuridão').
Mas Deus quer que Seus filhos, que pertencem a Ele através da regeneração, andar segundo o Espírito em vez da carne e afastar-se da iniquidade e remover os pecados e voltar para Ele.
Ele quer que Seus filhos confiem Nele e O obedeçam e permaneçam firmes na Palavra de Deus.
