Mga Proverbio 10:6-7 – The memory of the just

Wat is the meaning of Proverbs 10:6-7, Blessings are upon the head of the just, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. The memory of the just is blessed, but the name of the wicked shall rot?

Violence covers the mouth of the wicked

Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot (Mga Proverbio 10:6-7)

The seed of man is affected by evil. That’s why, everyone, who will not paghinulsol to the living Jesus Christ, and not become born again in the spirit, will keep walking in the sinful nature, as the old creation, who thinks, walks and talks like the world (Basaha usab: What does it mean to be born again?).

You shall know them by their fruits, memory of the justTheir heart is not renewed, and therefore their words, which come forth, out of their sinful nature and their unrepented heart, shall contain violence (Basaha usab: Unsa ang giingon sa Bibliya bahin sa tigulang?).

Their words may seem lovely, pious, hopeful, promising, and even credible, but their promising words, will hide violence and be as poison and will bring forth corruption. Not only to themselves but also to the people around them. Kay, what they proclaim and promise are in reality lies, that go against the Word of God.

They only proclaim prosperity, while the Word says something else, and they live in rebellion as enemies of the Word.

Si Jesus miingon, that by the fruit you shall know them. For a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire (Mat 7:17-19)

What lives in the heart of men, kabubut-on (eventually) become visible in their lives.

An unregenerate man will walk in rebellion against God and His Word and live as an enemy of God and His Word, and shall do the works of the flesh and walk in:

pagpanapaw, pakighilawas, Pagkahugaw, Ang sobra nga pagmahal, daotang pangibog, covetousness, kasuko, kasuko, malice , blasphemy, Filthy communication out of your mouth, Namakak, kalaw-ay, idolatriya, pagpang-ungo, pagdumot,, kalainan, mga emulasyon, panag-away, mga sedisyon, mga erehes, mga kasina, mga pagpatay, pagkahubog, revelling (Mga taga-Galacia 5:19-21, Mga taga-Colosas 3:5-9)

The memory of the wicked

For he that sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption (Mga taga-Galacia 6:8)

As long as they won’t repent of their works, and not become the new man, who God has created after His image, their name will be forgotten. They will not be written in the Book of Life, and therefore they shall enter eternal death.

The blessings of the just

Apan ang mga, who believe in Jesus Christ, accept Him as their Saviour and Lord, and become born again in the spirit, pinaagi sa gahum sa Espiritu Santo, are redeemed from their sinful nature. They’ve crucified their flesh diha kang Kristo, and are risen from the (spiritual) death (Basaha usab: Pagtoo sa Ngalan ni Jesus).

They have exchanged their flesh, which was corrupted, for the spirit, and they shall walk in the life of God; in the spiritual blessings of God.

Since they belong to Jesus Christ, they have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (Mga taga-Galacia 5:24). Therefore they shall not walk after the flesh, apan human sa Espiritu, and bear the fruit of the Spirit, nga mao ang:

gugma, joy, kalinaw, pagkamainantuson, gentleness, goodness, pagsalig, meekness, temperance (Mga taga-Galacia 5:23-24)

The memory of the just

The just shall not only inherit the Kingdom of God, but the just shall also bring the Kingdom of God upon this earth. They shall be a blessing to others and memory of the just will be blessed (Basaha usab: Walk in the dominion that God has given you).

As long as the just keep walking on the path of life, their names shall be written in the Book of Life, and they shall have eternal life.
