From the beginning of creation and throughout the ages, the devil has tempted and deceived many people with his words and appropriated them with his lies. The devil still uses the same words and still deceives many people and because many people still believe in his words and obey his words and don’t learn from the past, they keep believing in his lies. And so many people have made the lies of the devil their refuge. They are hiding in the refuge of lies and stay hidden for God until the truth of God reaches them and they repent or until the death comes to get them.
Adam believed the lie of the devil and hid himself from God
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. God only asked one question, “Where art thou?”
Adam hid himself from God, just like so many people these days hide from God and are hidden in the refuge of lies because they have listened and still listen to the words of the devil and obey him.
They have not believed in the truth, but have believed in the lie and therefore they have rejected the words of God, or they never have heard the truth, and are hidden and remain hidden in the refuge of lies, until the truth comes to them and they repent or until the death comes to get them.
Fallen man hides himself from God
