By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles,

All things, that are in the Heavens and on the earth, are created by the Word. He has created visible and invisible thrones, yfirráð, höfuðstóll, and powers in heaven and in earth. Everything is created by Him, og fyrir hann.
Því af honum eru allir hlutir skapaðir, sem eru á himnum, og sem eru í jörðu, sýnilegt og ósýnilegt, hvort þeir séu hásæti, eða ríkidæmi, eða furstadæmi, eða völd: allir hlutir voru skapaðir af honum, og fyrir hann (Col 1:16)
Jesus reigns in heaven and on earth.
When Jesus was brought to Pilate, he told Jesus that he had power to crucify Him and to let Him go. En Jesús vissi það, Whom had given Him this power and He knew that without God Pilate couldn’t do anything.
Then saith Pilate unto him, Speakest thou not unto me? knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee, and have power to release thee? Jesús svaraði, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above (Jn 19:10-11)
He has appointed kings, princes, nobles, judges etc on this earth. Everything is in His hands.
