Over the years, the gospel of Jesus Christ and the faith have slowly been adjusted. False doctrines entered the church, whereby many Christians can no longer endure the sound doctrine of God’s Word. Many preachers are carnal and preach after the itching ears and the will of the carnal man instead. Because of this, finding the true faith on earth is getting harder and harder. When Jesus the Son of man returns shall He find faith on earth?
The sound doctrine is defiled by human knowledge and wisdom
Many preachers stand in the service of people instead of God. They do everything in their might to please the people, so that they keep coming to the church. Because they know, that if they preach a sermon that is confrontational and go against the will of the people, people become insulted or offended and shall stay away.
Because of this the sound doctrine of God’s Word is adjusted by the knowledge and wisdom of natural man. Sermons about Jesus Christ and His redemptive work on the cross, the blood, repentance, and a change of lifestyle, removal of sin, dying to self and sanctification are hardly preached anymore.
And if preachers speak about these topics, the message is so much adjusted that it contains no power and doesn’t produce changed life.
The carnal sermons ensure that Christians remain unchanged and keep living as the old creation and keep walking after the flesh.
What happened with the church?
Instead of the church (the assembly of believers that represent (the authority of) the Kingdom of God on earth) separating itself from the world and sin, the church compromises with the world and walks in sin.
Many Christians don’t listen to God’s Word (the Bible) and don’t apply the Word in their lives.
There aren’t many Christians that long for holiness and righteousness. They don’t long for the same holy life and righteous walk as Jesus, in submission and obedience to the Father.
They only long for the power of God to do miracles just like Jesus, and be accepted by the world.
They do their best to be noticed, liked, and accepted by the world.
There is hardly any difference between believers and unbelievers
There is hardly any difference between unbelievers, who have the devil as father and obey and serve him, and the believers, who have God as Father and supposed to obey and serve Jesus Christ.
Going to church once or twice a week, having a church membership and/or task in the church, supporting charities, doing humanitarian works, and having good behavior, will not make you a Christian. It won’t give you access to the Kingdom of God either.
Many people call themselves Christians and go to church and attend seminars and conferences and are ever learning without coming to the knowledge of the truth.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:6-7)
Isn’t that awful? You think you are saved, while in reality you are not saved. You think you live according to the will of God, while you don’t. How is that possible?
It’s possible because many Christians departed from the Word of God. Therefore, they don’t know the truth.
They don’t know the real Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the living Word. But they have created an imaginary Jesus and serve this false Jesus, who is made after their image and has a lot of similarities with themselves.
They live in a lie and feed themselves with more lies to make their lives more pleasant and comfortable.
Many Christians walk in self-chosen ways
The sad truth is, that many Christians left God’s Word, and by leaving God’s Word, they left the faith in Jesus (the living Word) and entered self-chosen ways.
Many Christians don’t walk according to God’s precepts; they don’t walk as born again Christians after the Spirit. But they are lead by the world and their flesh and live after their own carnal will, lusts, desires, feelings, and emotions.
What the people want happens. They are led by the flesh; their senses, emotions, feelings, lusts, and desires. Their soul and body dictate them what to do.
Because they remain the old man, they often end up in trouble.
But isn’t it so, that when you turn to Christ and repent and decide to follow Him, you freely lay down your life in Christ and dies to ‘self’? That it’s no longer about your will, but His will? (Read also: ‘What if God’s will is not your will?‘)
Aren’t you risen and seated in Christ in the Heavenly places? Shouldn’t you reign with Him from your new position and represent and bring the Kingdom of God on earth? Instead of enforcing the kingdom of the darkness (the world)?
Denying Jesus’ perfect work of redemption
How many times do preachers, pastors, evangelists, elders, etc. say they believe in Jesus Christ and His work of redemption, while in reality, they deny Jesus’ perfect work of redemption. How do they deny Jesus’ perfect redemptive work? By considering themselves sinners, teaching the believers that they’ll always remain sinners, tolerating sin, and keep sinning themselves. How is that possible?
If you have been made free from sin and become a servant of righteousness, how can you walk in sin and be a servant of sin (a sinner)? (a.o. Romans 6:15-19; 8:2)

The Bible says when you become a new creation; a son of God, you are no longer a sinner. You have been made holy and righteous by faith in Christ and by His blood. Because you’ve been made righteous, God gave you His Spirit, Who dwells in you (the new creation).
As the new creation, who is born of God and made righteous and has the Holy Spirit, you are able to walk as Jesus walked, as a son of God (this applies to both males and females) on earth.
But as long as you have an old carnal mindset and believe that you will always remain a sinner, you indirectly say, that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ at the cross was not perfect.
You indirectly say, that the blood of Jesus Christ, which was shed at the whipping post and on the cross, was not powerful enough, to redeem humanity from sin and iniquity and their sinful nature.
When you say, that you are still a sinner, you don’t believe in Jesus Christ and His perfect work of redemption (Read also: Do Christians believe in the resurrection from the dead?).
Everyone is born as a sinner
Yes, we are all born as sinners in the flesh. There is no one excluded. If people don’t believe this and contradict this they deceive themselves and lie (a.o. 1 John 1:8-10).
Every person is born as a sinner and remains a sinner until a person believes in Jesus Christ, repents, and becomes a new creation through His blood, the baptism in water, and the baptism with the Holy Spirit.
When you become a new creation, you are no longer a sinner! You have freely laid down your old sinful nature and exchanged your life for His life; your will for His will. Now it’s up to you, to take up your cross and follow Jesus.
The faith is affected by the lies of man
Every time, when Christians take the words of God out of context, give their own explanation, and interpretation, and add their own opinion, the words become a twisted truth, which is no longer the truth.
Let’s take, for example, the parts in the Bible, when Jesus ate with the publicans and sinners. The Pharisees and the scribes saw Jesus eating with publicans and sinners (Matthew 8:9, Mark 2:13, Luke 5:29).
Many times, people say that Jesus ate with publicans and sinners and that Jesus was a friend of publicans and sinners (Luke 7:34). Therefore, they are also allowed to hang out and fellowship with unbelievers and do the same things as they do. There’s nothing wrong with that.
But that’s not true. The truth is, that Jesus hung out with the publicans and sinners. But first of all, they were part of the house of Israel; God’s carnal people, who were set apart from all other pagan nations. They were not Gentiles.
Secondly, Jesus preached the Kingdom and the message of repentance and called the people to repentance. These publicans and sinners believed in Jesus Christ and gave heed to His call. They repented and turned from their evil works and committed their lives to God (Read also: Was Jesus a Friend of Publicans?).
“Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold”
Zacchaeus was the chief among the publicans and was rich. When Zacchaeus repented, his repentance became visible through his words and deeds. Zacchaeus immediately gave half of his goods to the poor. And Zacchaeus said to Jesus, that if he had taken anything from any man by false accusation, he was even willing to restore him fourfold:
Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, for so much as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:8-10)
Jesus didn’t tolerate and accept sin. Jesus didn’t fellowship and wasn’t a partaker of their evil works. But Jesus called the people of the house of Israel to repentance.
I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. (Luke 5:32)
although Jesus loves people, Jesus hates the works of the old man
Jesus loved people but Jesus hated the evil works (sin) of the old carnal man, who belonged to the unfaithful fallen generation. He hated carnal works like adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling, anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication, etc.
Jesus hated the works, which came forth out of the Adamic nature. Because they were against the will of the Father. And the truth is, that Jesus still hates sin, because Jesus has not changed. He has not changed and that’s why His point of view has not changed.
Jesus still hates sin, despite His work at the cross and His blood that was shed. Jesus didn’t die at the cross to approve and authorize people to continue in sin. But His perfect work and His blood ensured that whosoever would believe in Him, He gave the power to become a new creation; a son of God, and to reign together with Jesus Christ.
When Jesus returns, will He find faith on earth?
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble (James 2:19)
You can confess with your mouth all you want. But if your works and deeds don’t line up with your confessions and your repentance, then your confessions are worthless.
The devil and the fallen angels (demons) also believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. However, they are not saved. Their final destination is the eternal lake of fire.
When you say, that you believe in Jesus Christ, you shall live according to His commandments and do His will.
You shall do, what the Word tells you to do, and not listen to and do what the world says.
You shall no longer be a partaker of the evil works of darkness and live like the world. But you shall separate yourselves from the world.
You shall put your trust in Jesus Christ and devote your life to Him. You shall do what God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit say.
Only when you walk after the Spirit and live according to what the Word says, you walk in faith.
You will keep standing in the faith, despite your circumstances. You shall stay faithful to the Word and be persistent in prayer.
When you walk in faith, you shall walk according to the will of the Father and please Him. You shall seek those things which are above instead of the things which are beneath, on this earth.
Abusing the grace of God for the lusts of the flesh
Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:8)
Jesus knew the weaknesses of the old man, who walked after the flesh and belonged to the unfaithful generation (the Adamic nature). Jesus knew, that in the end times, many false teachers and preachers would come with their own philosophies, opinions, and worldly knowledge.
False preachers, who tolerate and accept sin and abuse the grace of God to continue living in sin, and mock the gospel of Jesus Christ. That’s why Jesus said to His disciples, when Jesus comes, will He find faith on the earth?
‘Be the salt of the earth’
