What does the Bible say about homosexuality?

These days many people argue about the questions of whether a Christian can be gay (homosexual) or not, if God approves of homosexuality or not and whether homosexuality should be accepted in church or not. There are churches that oppose homosexuality and don’t allow homosexuals in the church. There are churches that oppose homosexuality but welcome gay people in the church with the intention that they will repent. And then there are churches that accept homosexuality and welcome gay people in the church and approve of their works and lifestyle and even perform same-sex marriages. We see an increase in churches that approve of homosexuality and same-sex marriages. They accept gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals, and transgenders as members of the church. They allow them to be partakers of communion and even ordain them into ministry. But, as born-again Christians, we shouldn’t be led by our own opinions, feelings, and emotions, and by what the world says. But we should look at the Bible and the will of God and be led by what the Bible says about homosexuality. Because what does the Bible say about homosexuality? Does God approve homosexual relationships? Where do homosexual feelings come from? Can a person be born as a homosexual? Can a born-again Christian be a homosexual?

In order to answer these questions, it’s important to look at the two types of Christians. Because not everyone, who calls themselves a Christians is a born-again believer; a new creation, who is born of God and a son or daughter of God. Not everyone, who calls himself or herself a born again Christians walks after the Spirit.

The two kinds of Christians:

The carnal Christian, who lives after the flesh

If a Christian is carnal and lives after the flesh, then the flesh (soul and body) reigns in the person’s life. The person is led by his/her senses, emotions, feelings, opinions, thoughts, lusts, and desires. The spirit has not been raised from the dead or the spirit has been raised from the dead but is still subjected to the flesh.

Everything that the person does is controlled by the flesh; senses, emotions, feelings, lusts, and desires, instead of the spirit, who works together with the Holy Spirit. The ‘self’ has not died yet.

A person can do many ‘good’ (charity) works, be nice, friendly and gentle, helpful, pious, and loving towards others, etc., but if a person is not born again, the spirit in the person is still dead and the person is not saved. Although the person does ‘good works’, these works are carnal and therefore these works are considered as ‘death’ works, which cannot please God (Rom 8).

The born again Christian, who lives after the Spirit

A born-again Christian has died to the flesh. (S)he has buried the flesh in the water baptism and by the baptism with the Holy Spirit, the spirit of the person has been raised from the dead and has become alive. The person has been born of the Spirit of God and has become a son of God. Therefore, the person shall no longer after the flesh as a sinner and son of the devil, but after the Spirit as a son of God and shall walk in love.

Ezekiel 11:19-20 Give them one heart and I will put a new spirit within youThis love isn’t a love as the world defines love. This love doesn’t mean compromising and allowing and accepting everything. But this love is a holy and righteous love of God.

This righteous love begins with a great love towards God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. It is a love that wants to please Him and serve Him and live according to His commandments, which represents His will and His nature and dwells in your heart.

When you do His will and walk in the commandments of the Word, then you shall walk in love.

When you die in Jesus Christ, you die to your ‘self’. This means that you lay down your will, dreams, thoughts, emotions, feelings, lusts, desires, opinions, etc. You don’t live anymore, but now Jesus Christ, the Word, lives inside of you. You’ve become His vessel.

The love of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit flows through you to the people around you. But it all begins with a love for Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit and to submit and be obedient to Him and His will.

Love for Jesus

When you talk about your love for Jesus, you talk about your love for the Word. When you love Jesus, you will spend much time in the Word. Because only through the Word you will get to know Him. And through Him, the Word, you will get to know the Father. There is no other way.

Jesus is the living Word, Who walked upon the earth. He was crucified and raised from the death. He is alive and seated at the right hand of God!

Only through the Word, you will get to know Him, and the Father, and you will get to know His will. The Word reveals all truth. When you live after the Spirit and renew your mind with the Word, you shall gradually clean up all the leftovers from your old way of thinking and your old life.

Put off the old man and put on the new man

When you’ve been born again, you have become a new creation in the spirit. This spiritual transformation will become visible in the natural realm, by putting off the old man; the flesh, in which the sin nature dwells, and putting on the new man, who has become alive in the spirit. You shall walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh anymore. Because you have freely laid down your life, your flesh is crucified in Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit testifies of the Word. Therefore when you walk after the Spirit, you shall walk after the Word and not depart from the Word.

Renew your mind with the Word of God

When you’ve become born again, your spirit is still a baby and must grow up into the image of your Creator (Colossians 3:10, Romans 8:29)

Renewing your mindThe only way to feed your spirit and grow up, is by the Word of God. In this whole world there is no other book that can feed your spirit, than the Word of God.

Even religious books cannot feed your spirit. They can motivate you, but not feed your spirit. Only the Word; Jesus, can feed your spirit, so that you grow up into His image.

When you take the words of God and renew your mind, you will renew your worldly thinking, so that your (new) thinking will line up with the Word of God.

Your mind determines your actions. Therefore if you renew your mind and your mind lines up with the Word of God, you will become a doer of the Word and live like the Word.

Jesus is very clear and says that if you really love Him, you shall keep His commandments (Jn 14:15).

The Holy Spirit 

The Holy Spirit testifies of Jesus, the Word. The law, which God gave to Moses and represents the will of God, is now written in your heart by the dwelling of the Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 11:19-21). The law of Moses revealed the will of God and His nature to the carnal man. Because the spirit of man was death, therefore they were not able to comprehend the spiritual realm.

The Bible is a manual for the born again believerBut because of God’s great love towards His people, He made His will, His nature, and the spiritual realm known to them, by the law.

Every person, who becomes born again receives the Holy Spirit and God’s nature. He lives inside of you and shall reveal to you His will. But that’s not all He does. He shall also convict you of sin and iniquity.

You have been made holy and righteous in Jesus Christ. You’ve become a new creation; your flesh has died, your spirit has become alive by the power of the Holy Spirit. Now that the Holy Spirit lives inside of you, you should walk holy and righteous after His will.

This doesn’t mean, that we have to go back to the law of Moses and keep all the feasts and sacrificial laws. Because in Jesus Christ we live in a New Covenant. But the will of God, what He likes and dislikes, has not changed. His nature, His character, and His will have not changed and will never change.  Nor has the will of Jesus changed. Because the will of Jesus is equal to the will of His Father.

The Word is the same, yesterday, today, and forevermore. His Word shall never change. Therefore His Word is trustworthy and you can trust the Word.

In His Word, God makes His will known to us. His Holy Spirit reveals in us His will, so that we shall walk according to His commandments (Ez 11:19-20, 36:26-27).

The only thing that stands in the way to execute His will in your life, is your mind. That’s why it’s so important to renew your mind with the Word of God.

You must make a choice for the Word or the world

When you walk after the Spirit, you shall walk in His will; doing His will. God’s will shall always differ from the will of the world. That isn’t weird, because the world is enmity against God. Therefore, if you really want to serve Jesus, you must first make a choice whether you want to serve the Word or the world.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. (1 John 2:16)

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God (Romans 8:7-8)

Do you really love Jesus, and do you really want to follow Him? Will you keep His commandments and do His will? Or do you have a greater love for the world and yourself, and do you want to follow the world and do what pleases your flesh? What does Jesus say about a man’s life?

He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. (John 12:25)

servant of sinThis is what Jesus says, Who, according to so many Christians, tolerates and accepts everything, because of love. They use the most famous words: “Yes, but Jesus welcomed the publicans, and sinners, and ate with them”.

But the people, who use this argument, unfortunately, don’t read any further, why Jesus ate with them. The publicans and sinners wanted to repent of their life as a sinner. They had met the Truth, the Light, and the Life: Jesus the Christ (Read also Was Jesus a Friend of publicans?).

The Holy Spirit in Jesus had convicted the sinners of their sinful life and therefore they wanted to repent.

When Jesus met Levi, a publican, and said to Levi: “Follow Me”. Levi immediately left everything behind and followed Jesus.

And Levi made Him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them. But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners? And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but SINNERS TO REPENTANCE (Luke 5:29-32)

And Matthew, another publican, also laid down his life and followed Jesus (Matthew 10:3)

You see, that Jesus brought the publicans and sinners to repentance. Jesus didn’t allow sin, but called sinners to repentance (Matthew 9:13, Mark 1:14-15; 2:17, Luke 5:32)

“Sin no more”

When Jesus healed the lame man and forgave the woman, who committed adultery, Jesus said: “sin no more” (John 5:14, and John 8:11). Jesus didn’t say: “Keep walking in your sins”.

In Him is no sin, who abides in Him sin notBecause sin means disobedience to God and being obedient to the devil (Read also: What is sin?).

Sin separates you from God and binds you to the devil.

As soon as you sin, you enter the territory of the devil. By walking in sin, you give power to the devil.

When you repented and accepted Christ as your Saviour and Lord, you were transferred from the kingdom of darkness; the kingdom of the devil, into the Kingdom of God. But this doesn’t mean, that you can keep walking in sin as you did in your old life, when you were a sinner; a slave of your flesh, and sin had dominion over you.

Another Kingdom means another law, rules and precepts. If you don’t want to submit yourself to this new law, then you automatically return to your old kingdom, your old country; your old life.

Can a person be born gay?

Can a person be born gay? Absolutely! Everyone, who is born in the flesh, upon this earth, is born as a sinner. No one is excluded.

I was shapen in iniquity and sin, psalm 51Every person possesses the evil nature and character of the devil, who rebels against the will of God. Every person, who is born on this earth, needs to become born again in order to be saved.

When a child grows up, (s)he develops characteristics. A child shall have feelings, emotions, lusts, and a will that come forth out of the flesh (the soul), and therefore come forth out of the kingdom of darkness.

As long as a person is carnal and is led by the flesh, demonic powers will have control over someone’s life. The feelings and emotions in the flesh are being influenced and controlled by demonic powers. They reign in every sinner’s life.

In the case of homosexual feelings, we are dealing with a spirit of lust and perversion. When you look at the gay pride, eroticism, sex, and perversion prevail. And let’s not forget gay magazines, the entertainment business, gay bars, gay clubs, and musicals, it always contain sexual content, and sexual remarks and revolve around sex and eroticism.

Now, it doesn’t matter how and when this spirit entered. It is all about setting the person free. If….. the person wants to.

What does the Bible say about homosexuality and what is the will of God regarding relationships?

Let’s have a look at the will of God regarding the relationship between two people of the same sex:

The sons of Ham lived in Sodom and Gomorrah

Homosexuality is not something of this age. In the first Book of the Bible; Genesis, we read about much sexual uncleanness, including sexual intercourse with someone of the same sex.

The first time, we read in the Bible about males having intercourse with males, is in Genesis chapter 19, in the city of Sodom. This was one of the reasons, why Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, were destroyed. I wrote ‘one of the reasons’, because the abominations they did before God was not the only reason, why Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed, but this will be discussed later.

The inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around it were born of the seed of Ham, the son of Noah, who was cursed by Noah, because he had seen his father’s nakedness, and told his brothers, who immediately covered their father, without looking at his nakedness (Genesis 9:21-25).

With that in mind, you see that evil was already present in the seed and bloodline of Ham, because the seed of Ham was cursed.

This evil went on from generation to generation, because the seed of Ham, who lived in Sodom and Gomorrah, were wicked, and sinners before the Lord (Genesis 13:13).

They were sinners; they lived in pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in them, they didn’t strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before the Lord (Ezekiel 16:48-50).

Those abominations were: sexual uncleanness and idolatry, just like the heathen nations lived in sexual uncleanness and idolatry. Because when you read the Books of Leviticus and Deuteronomy and look at what the abominations were for the Lord, the abominations referred to:

  • Sexual uncleanness (not lay with mankind as with womankind (homosexuality), not lay down with any beast, not lay down with neighbors wife, not lay down with mankind and womankind (threesome/bi-sexual), etc.),
  • Provoking Him to jealousy with strange gods,
  • Make their sons and daughters pass through the fire,
  • Use divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer, etc.

The cry of the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah was big. Their sin was very grievous. The Lord heard the cry and came to look at the cry, to see if they really were that wicked.

Men had sexual relationships with men in Sodom

In Genesis 19, we read that the two males; the two angels, whom the Lord had sent, went with Lot to his house. Before they went to sleep, all the men of Sodom, both young and old, surrounded the house of Lot. The whole population was there, there was no one excluded. They all stood before Lot’s house, and called: “Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them” (Genesis 19:5)

Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, and said: “I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof”. But the man wouldn’t listen to Lot.

They said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

The next morning, the man, Lot, his wife, and both daughters left Sodom. And the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire, from the Lord out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground (Genesis 19:6-25)

We can conclude that when people walk in sins and iniquities, they also walk in sexual uncleanness (including men having a sexual relationship with men, and women with women (homosexuality)).

Many preachers say, that it was normal for certain populations to inaugurate ‘strangers’ in the city by means of sexual intercourse. But if that was the case, then why did Lot offer his daughters to them?

Another argument is, that the man of Sodom, just wanted to get to know the two man by communication. But again, if that would be the case, then why did Lot offer his daughters to them? Because they knew his daughters already. They only didn’t know his daughters in a sexual way. Therefore, we can conclude that these men wanted to have sexual intercourse with men.

The man of Sodom and Gomorrah were selfish, greedy men, who lived in the lusts and desires of their flesh, having no restrictions on sexual intercourse, including sexual intercourse with other men.

Gibeah, a second Sodom

Sodom wasn’t the only city, where homosexuality was present and men wanted to have sexual intercourse with men. Many years later the same thing happened in the land of Benjamin, in the city of Gibeah. The man of Gibeah wanted to have sexual intercourse with a certain Levite, who lodged in Gibeah, in the house of an old man. The Levite traveled with his servant and his concubine. In the evening, the men of Gibeah, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door. They commanded the old man to bring the Levite, so that they may know him (having sexual intercourse with him). But the old man offered his daughter and the Levite’s concubine.

But the men wouldn’t listen to him. Then the Levite took his concubine and brought her to them, and they abused her sexually all night long. In the morning they let her go, and in the dawning, she fell at the door of the old man’s house and died (Judges 19:11-29).

The people of Benjamin were wicked, because they deviated from God and that’s why they committed these abominations. The result was that almost the whole population of Benjamin was killed, by the other tribes of Israel. The reason why the other tribes of Israel killed the people of Benjamin was because God had commanded His people to remove all wickedness out of their midst.

God knew what the consequences would be if they would accept the wickedness, instead of removing the wickedness. He knew that all of His people would eventually be affected by evil, and that more tribes of Israel would deviate from Him. That’s why they had to remove the evil (wickedness) out of their midst.

The Sodomites

In 1 Kings 14:22-24, we read that Judah did evil in the sight of the Lord and provoked Him to jealousy with the sins they had committed. And that there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to ALL the abominations of the nations (including homosexuality; men having sexual intercourse with men).

In 1 Kings 15:11-12, we read that King Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, and took away the sodomites out of the land and removed all the idols, which his fathers had made.

In 2 Kings 23:7, we read about King Josiah and how he read the commandments of the Lord in the house of the Lord, before all the people, and how he made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, His testimonies, with all their heart, and soul. Josiah did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and he broke down among other the houses of the sodomites, who were in the house of the Lord (Youngs Literal Bible Translation).

You see, back then, there were already sodomites in the house of the Lord. So the argument: “Homosexuality is something of this age, and we should accept it” is a big lie of the devil! It is not something of this age, it has always been there.

In the Bible, we read that as soon as His people turned away from God, and were deviated from God, they lived like the heathen people (the world) lived; in wickedness, worshipping idols, sexual uncleanness, and therefore sin increased. This is still the case. As soon as people turn away and deviate from God, they will live like the world in sin and iniquity.

The selfie era

We live in an era, where in many lives ‘the self’ is seated upon the throne instead of Jesus. There are only a few people, who really hate sin and die to the flesh (die to ‘self’). Because of this fact, many Christians stay carnal and keep walking after the flesh; after the will of the devil. Many think they please God, but the truth is that they live after the will of the devil and are pleasing him instead.

They live like the world and adjust and change the Word of God, so that the Word fits into their life (lifestyle). Because of the fact that a twisted truth is not the truth anymore, they are not being accused (judged) and confronted with their sin anymore. They live in the lies of the devil, who loves twisting the Word of God. Yes, he is a master in twisting the word of God! Take for example the wilderness,  where he tempted Jesus with the twisted word.

What does the Bible say about homosexuality?

Now, let’s have look at the written laws, in which the Lord reveals His will and His nature, towards the carnal man (who is not born again in the Spirit, and whose spirit is still death, and therefore cannot comprehend the spiritual things of the Kingdom of God).

God reveals His heart to His people

God redeemed His people from the bondage of Pharaoh and brought them out of Egypt and led them into the wilderness. He had separated His people from the world, and now He went together with His people, to the promised land. God made His heart known to His people, because the carnal man, was not able to comprehend the spiritual world, because their spirit was still dead (because of Adam’s sin)

Remember that God is the same, yesterday, today, and forevermore. His will and His nature shall never change.

Before the law of Moses, God made already clear (i.e. through the flood in the days of Noah, and through the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah) that He despises self-centredness, worshipping idols and other gods, and the lusts and desires of the flesh (including sexual uncleanness). God didn’t allow and tolerate them.

The gentiles, who didn’t belong to God’s people, performed sexual rituals and lived in sexual uncleanness. But the Lord of Lords didn’t want His people to become affected by these abominations. He wanted a holy people, who would restrain themselves from these abominations, and separate themselves in holiness. He wanted a holy people, who would love Him, and who would walk according to His commandments and not according to the commandments of the world (the heathens, their gods)

What does the Bible say about homosexuality in the Old Testament?

In Leviticus 18, we read about the sexual moral laws. God spoke to Moses and commanded him to tell His people, that He would be their God, and that they would live after His commandments and His will, and not after the Egyptians, nor the inhabitants of Canaan (heathens, the world).

They came out of Egypt, and now His people had to be transformed (renewed) in their mind, before they would enter the promised land. They had to be prepared, so that they wouldn’t walk like the heathens, but that they would walk in the will of the Lord as His holy people.

In Canaan lived the seed of Ham

They went to Canaan, where the seed of Ham lived, and where Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed, but the people in Canaan were still wicked. Because otherwise, the Lord would not give them the sexual moral laws.

The Lord commanded His people several times, to keep His commandments, and to stay obedient to Him, so that they would live. We read in Leviticus 18:6-23 about the sin practices of the heathens, whereof He didn’t want His people to adopt those practices.

In vers 22 we read about sexual intercourse between two people of the same-sex:

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination

There it is written: the heathens, who lived in the land of Canaan also had same-sex intercourse. But the Lord didn’t want His people, who was a holy people, to be defiled with these unclean practices.

Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you: (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;) That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.

For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein:I am the Lord your God (Leviticus 18:24-30)

And in Leviticus chapter 20:

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them (Leviticus 20:13)

In Deuternomy 23:17 it is written that:

There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel

God’s people

Every person, who is born again, belongs to God’s people. They belong to Him, because He has become their Father through Jesus Christ. They are born of His Spirit. He doesn’t want His son or daughter to live like the world. He has sanctified us, and made us holy and righteous, by the blood of Jesus. We are born of His Spirit, His seed lives inside of us, therefore He wants us to grow up, and walk and live as His son, just like His Son Jesus.

sanctification is the will of GodHe wants us to live as sons of His Kingdom, and not live as the world; sons of the Kingdom of darkness (the devil’s sons). He wants us to live after His will, so that we will please Him.

Therefore He wants us to remove everything out of our lives, that rebels against Him and goes against His will.

Sin is disobedience to God. Therefore being a homosexual is also a sin.

God is very clear in His Word, God couldn’t be any clearer. When God says that homosexuality is an abomination to Him, it means that homosexuality is an abomination to Him.

God shall never accept homosexuality and God shall never make homosexuality all right, no matter what people say.

Jesus won’t accept homosexuality either, and would never make it all right. Because God’s will is the will of Jesus. God will never change His will to the lusts and desires of man.

Jesus died for mankind. He has taken all sins and iniquities of the world, upon Himself. So that, everyone who believes in Him, and makes Jesus Saviour and Lord of their lives, would be freed from the bondage of sin and the Kingdom of darkness. Jesus instructs us, to become like Him, and don’t sin anymore.

When we become born again, we should be ruled and controlled by the Spirit, instead of the flesh and sin. We are seated in Jesus Christ, we should rule over sin, instead of sin ruling over us. We shouldn’t walk in sin and iniquity, but we should walk after the Spirit in righteousness and holiness.

What does the Bible say about homosexuality in the New Testament?

In the first chapter of the Book of Roman, we read about men having sexual relationships with men, and women having sexual relationships with women. So in that era, homosexuality was also among the people. Paul gave the following reason, why they did these things. He said that:

Because when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections:for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient (Romans 1:21-28)

The unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do you always remain a sinnerA born-again Christian has laid down the flesh and the works of the flesh and doesn’t do them anymore. Because a born-again Christian has repented of his or her sinful nature, buried the flesh in the water baptism.

They have been made holy and righteous in the spirit. They’ve received God’s nature and therefore they shall now walk in holiness and righteousness (Read also: Do you always remain a sinner?)

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for mans layers  For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine (1 Titus 1:9-10)

This is what the Word says. If you really want to follow Jesus, and are prepared to lay down your own life, then that means that you should accept the sound doctrine of the Bible aka the Word; Jesus Christ, as the truth. Even when the truth of the Word of God goes against the opinions, findings, and sayings of the world.

The Bible, the Word of God, should be the highest authority in the life of a born-again Christian, and not the opinions, findings, and sayings of people.

A new creation

Every person is born in sin, as a sinner. There is no one excluded. As long as you stay unregenerate, you’ll stay a sinner and shall walk after the flesh in sin and iniquity.

Only when you become born again, You shall become a new creation in Jesus Christ: born of water and Spirit. Only then, when you are born again, you shall walk after the Spirit and shall be able to please God. When you are born again, you still have the ability to walk after the flesh. Therefore you are the one, who makes the choice to walk after the spirit or after the flesh. Read also: ‘The eighth day, the day of a new creation’

If you truly repent of your sin and become born again, you shall no longer live in sin. But you shall walk after God’s will. God’s character shall become visible in your life. You love your Father, and don’t want to do anything that hurts Him and that causes you to become separated from Him. Therefore you shall walk in obedience to the Father.

Characteristics of days of Noah signsIn the very last days of the end times, before Jesus returns, the world shall be like in the days of Noah. Like  Sodom and Gomorrah. We live in an age where so many abominations take place. The world is all about money, power, and sex.

Look around you and you will see the sexual uncleanness in this world, and it only gets worse. Everything is accepted, and the churches and congregations, go along with the world.

Many churches, and congregations, allow and accept homosexuality, instead of teaching, and instructing them in the sound doctrine of the Word of God. They don’t confront them with their sinful practices and help them to set them free and disciple them.

No, instead they allow homosexuality and by allowing homosexuality, they allow sin, and by allowing sin, they send them directly to hell (Read also: ‘Deceived by my feelings’)

Their so-called love is in reality a false love, that eventually kills them (Read also The false love). Because by accepting sins and iniquities, many people will be sent to hell, while they think that they lead a godly life and please God. Many pastors and leaders of the church, who want to be liked and be friends with the world, are the cause of the destruction of many souls. 

The call to repentance

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God (1 John 3:7-10)

What is repentanceLet us repent of sin, and put away all uncleanness out of our midst. Let us live according to His will and His commandments.

Let’s please Him, and show Him that we really love Him, by walking in His will. Let us lay down our will and our opinions, and become completely His.

If you are wrestling against homosexual feelings, then there is a way out! His Name is Jesus Christ and He can set you free!

When you repent, become born again, and renew your mind with the Word of God, your life shall be transformed; you shall not be controlled by your flesh (feelings, emotions, lusts, desires, etc.) but you shall be controlled by the Spirit.

Homosexuality is based upon feelings, which are deceitful and controlled by the spirits of darkness. Jesus Christ is the only One, Who can set you free from these unnatural feelings of lust. Only in the Name of Jesus, this spirit of lust and perversion will leave your life.

The stage is being set for the anti-Christ

The devil hates God and he wants to destroy every statute and covenant of God like marriage, family, the church, the relationship between God and man, etc., but he also hates women. If it was up to him he would erase every woman from the face of the earth. Why? Because the seed of the woman reminds him of his defeat. The seed of the woman has bruised his head.

The devil enjoys when men having sexual relationships with men, and females having sexual relationships with females, because that way the devil tries to get back at God and defiles the marriage covenant. And not only that, but the devil wants to separate men from women. He wants the world to get used to homosexuality, so that the stage will be set for the anti-Christ.

The devil shall ensure, that not only the world, but also churches and congregations and therefore many Christians, accept homosexuality, and consider it normal. Even when the Word says something else.

This anti-Christ shall be, just like sinners, against Christ, and shall have the character of the devil, and shall hate women. So maybe the anti-Christ will be a homosexual, and therefore the world must be made ready to accept a homosexual person as a leader.

And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all (Daniel 11:36-37)

Should we reject gay people and homosexuality in church?

You shouldn’t close the door for gays and lesbians if they want to repent of their life(style) and become born again in Christ, because every sinner, who wants to repent is welcome. But you can’t accept homosexuality in the body of Jesus Christ.

You should love your neighbour as yourself, but you must not love the sins of your neighbour and accept sin. When a gay or lesbian hates his or her deeds, way of life, and sinful nature, and comes to church for help with the intention to repent to Jesus, then let him or her in and set the person free in the Name of Jesus, but otherwise….

After the person repents and becomes born again, the person needs to be discipled, so that the person grows up in the Word of God and renews the mind, and gets to know the will of God, and shall become like the Word, like Jesus.

You shall see, that first of all (s)he will feel some kind of liberation, secondly when (s)he renews his/her mind with the Word of God, his/her thinking and feelings shall change and (s)he shall be controlled by the Holy Spirit, instead of being controlled by (the lust of) the flesh, and the darkness.

What does the world say about homosexuality?

What does the world say about homosexuality? The world says the opposite of what the Word, Jesus, says. That’s why the world says, that everyone should accept homosexuality and don’t discriminate or judge.

They think that everyone, including Christians, should accept gays and lesbians and accept homosexuality. They want you to accept homosexuality and that there is nothing wrong with having sexual intercourse with someone of the same sex.

Conclusion 

Many people try to prove, on basis of the Word, that God accepts and approves of homosexuality. But they shall never succeed in proving that God will approve of homosexuality. Because the Word can’t turn against Himself. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit shall never accept homosexuality and make it alright.

will God change His will for the lusts and desires of men, homosexualityJesus loves you, He loves every person, every sinner, who wants to repent. But He doesn’t love their sins (including homosexuality, which according to the Word is a sin), and therefore He wants every person to repent of their sinful walk as a sinner and become a new creation.  Jesus doesn’t want any person to be lost forever.

But everyone has a free will, and makes their own choice either for life or death. The only way to eternal life is through Jesus, and to become a new creation; born of water and the Spirit.

If a person keeps walking in his/her old sinful nature, doesn’t repent, and doesn’t put on the new man, than this person is not saved but lost, and is on his/her way to eternal death.

This also applies to homosexuality. When homosexuals keep walking in their sinful nature. God won’t accept any excuse! Not even the excuse that a homosexual is born that way and therefore it’s ok. Every person is born as a sinner with a sinful nature. And every person has a free choice in life to repent to God, and to put of the old man; the sinner, that walks after the flesh or to keep walking after the flesh (as a sinner).

Every feeling, that goes against the Word of God, is not out of God.

God is very clear in His Word, and if the Holy Spirit really lives in a born again Christian, who lives after the Spirit, then his/her opinion, thinking and findings will be in line with the (opinion of) the Word of God, who says:

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination (Leviticus 18: 22).

The Word shall judge every person. Therefore listen to the Word, obey the Word, and repent while you still can.
