What are the two ways to enter the spiritual realm?

In the previous blog posts, you read about the new age in the church and how the church has become an occult church. Maybe after reading these blog posts, you wonder what the difference is between born again Christians and occultists and the way they enter the spiril realm? There are two ways to enter the spiritual realm. What are the two ways to enter the spiritual realm? You can access the spiritual realm legally and you can access the spiritual realm illegally. Let’s start, by looking at the illegal way to enter the spiritual realm.

Enter the spiritual realm from the kingdom of darkness

The first way to enter the spiritual realm is the illegal way (against God’s will); out of the flesh and the kingdom of darkness. Occultists move in the spiritual realm but are not born again in the spirit, and therefore their spirit is dead. They belong to the old generation; fallen man, who belongs to the kingdom of darkness and lives after the flesh in the kingdom of darkness. They enter the spiritual realm, by using their own carnal power; soul power, that is directed by the kingdom of darkness.

In order to enter the spiritual realm, they use natural human methods, formulas, techniques, strategies, etc. and make use of all kinds of natural means like candles, tarot cards, mirrors, crystal glazes, crystals, gemstones, flags, needles, music (in combination with sing and dance), etc. By their actions, they call upon supernatural powers and open themselves and bind (or tie) themselves in the soul with evil spirits, to gain insights and information from the secret ‘hidden world’. These insights and information revolve around man.

Occultists are carnal and live after the flesh. Occultists are led by their senses, emotions, feelings and the revelations, visions, knowledge, and wisdom of spirits, that they received by channeling with supernatural creatures (demons). They build their faith, knowledge, and wisdom and develop all kinds of new doctrines, methods, and strategies, upon the information they receive.

They are focused upon themselves, man, and the supernatural manifestations and wonders, which become visible in the natural realm.

Occultists live in the kingdom of darkness and because they live after the flesh, they exalt the devil with their lives. They enter illegally, against God’s will, in their own power the spiritual realm and are therefore unprotected.

They are being led, inspirited and directed by demons; fallen angels, who will control their lives. In exchange for their soul, they receive power from the devil. This power derives from the kingdom of darkness and can also reveal hidden (spiritual) things, prophecy, and perform signs, miracles and wonders.

We also see this, with the Egyptian magicians; the wise man and the sorcerers, who performed the same miracles, to a certain extent, as God (Ex 7:11,22 8:7), Saul, who inquired a woman who had a familiar spirit (1 Sam 28:7-14) and the damsel, who was possessed of a spirit of divination (Acts 16:16). And let’s not forget the son of perdition, who will come and perform signs and lying wonders, and the beast, who will receive power from the devil.

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thes 2:9-12)

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority (Rev 13:2)

Enter the spiritual realm from the Kingdom of God

The born again Christian doesn’t enter the spiritual realm illegally out of the flesh, but legally out of his spirit and his position in Jesus Christ.

By faith in Jesus Christ and through regeneration, the old man has become a new man in the spirit and has entered the Kingdom of God. The spiritual Kingdom of God, that was hidden for the old man, who was carnal and only became visible by means of preaching the words of God, parables, signs, and wonders (i.e. Mat 12:28, Lu 8:10, 9:2, 10:9, 11:20), has become visible for the new man. The spirit of the new man is able to see the Kingdom of God and live after the spirit in the Kingdom of God. Without regeneration, this is impossible.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (Jn 3:3)

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit (Jn 3:5-6)

That’s why many times, you see believers, who are not born again and therefore unspiritual, feed themselves with – and build their faith upon the knowledge, wisdom, and experiences of other believers, especially famous preachers and live after this information.

Seated in the heavenly places

Fallen man; the generation of the old creation is subjected to the devil and his demons and can only enter the spiritual realm illegally from the flesh; from the kingdom of darkness. But the born again Christian has entered the Kingdom of God and is seated in Jesus Christ; the Word in the heavenly places, and since Jesus is seated above all authority, power, principality, might, dominion, and every name that is named, the new man is also seated above all authority, power, principality, might, and dominion of the darkness.

Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world (Jn 17:24)

And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-wWhen you love Jesus you shall keep His commandmentsard who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all. (Eph 1:19-23)

But God, Who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus (Eph 2:4-7)

For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is the Head of all principality and power (Col 2:9-10)

The new man lives constantly after the spirit

The born again believer lives constantly after the spirit in the Kingdom of God. Therefore, the new man doesn’t look or search, so now and then, out of the flesh, for ‘spiritual things and the spiritual realm’. For example, during Sunday service, during (prayer or praise) meetings or before going to bed.

Although the born again believer (the new man) lives in the world, the new man doesn’t belong to the world. The new man doesn’t belong to the old generation of fallen man, who belongs to the kingdom of darkness. But the new man has been transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God. Therefore the new man has been set apart from the world and isn’t subjected to the devil and led by the powers and spirits of this world, who reign in the flesh. Instead, the new man is subjected to Christ and led in the spirit by the Holy Spirit.

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God (Col 3:1-3)

A living spirit

The new man has become, just like Jesus, a living spirit, and is no longer a living soul, like the generation of Adam; the generation of fallen man.

Since the new man walks after the spirit and not like the old man after the flesh, the new man shall not make use of natural human methods, techniques, and strategies, that are based upon human knowledge, wisdom, and experiences. The new man shall not be led by the flesh; senses, feelings, emotions, findings, thoughts, soul power, manifestations in the flesh, signs, and wonders. But the new man shall walk after the spirit and the will of God, doing the works out of his position in Jesus Christ and his relationship with Jesus; the Word, the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Old man is crucified in ChristThe Holy Spirit and the spirit of the new man have nothing to do with feelings. As soon as carnal manifestations, emotions, and feelings take control, then it shows that the flesh reigns over the spirit.

You also see this with pagan tribes and religions, that use repetitive music, sing, and dance to enter into a trance and unleash spiritual powers of darkness, manifesting in the flesh.

But the Holy Spirit is not a pleasant feeling and not universal energy, that is being experienced in the flesh.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit is holy and therefore the Holy Spirit can only live and reveal Himself in the lives of those, who have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus and regeneration and live holy and righteous lives that are consecrated and devoted to Jesus Christ.

The born again believer shall never rely on his own insights and abilities but shall always rely on God. He shall trust in Him and live out of his relationship with Him. The born again believer isn’t focused upon himself or on the supernatural, but is sober and focused upon the Word, to become like Jesus in character and walk, and the Kingdom of God. So that, he shall live after His will, and exalt Jesus and the Father with his life, instead of exalting himself, be seen, noticed and worshipped by people and building his own kingdom.

The born again believer is focused upon the Kingdom of God, where Jesus is the center and not on the kingdom of this world (the kingdom of darkness), where man is the center.

The spiritual battle between good and evil

The new man knows, that he has entered a spiritual battle against the misleading forces of darkness, that will try to do anything to tempt and mislead the new man and cause him to sin. Because the devil knows, that sin causes separation between man and God. That’s why the new man has the ability to discern the spirits and discern good (the will of God) from evil (the will of the devil).

will of God vs will of the devilThere are believers, who say, that if you have become a new creation, that sin can no longer affect you and separate you because you are redeemed from sin and are in Christ.

Well, first of all, if you are in Jesus Christ, you shall be a servant of righteousness and no longer a servant of sin. You shall serve Jesus Christ with your spirit and not serve the devil with your flesh.

Secondly, if this statement would be true, then why did the devil try so hard to tempt Jesus to sin? On the cross, you’ll see what sin does: sin separates man from God and sin leads to death.

Therefore, it’s important for the new man to resist the temptations of the devil, which will lead to sin.

As long as the new man stays in Christ; in the Word and therefore walk in the spiritual armor of God, he is able to stand and resist every temptation of the devil and his demons, which will lead to sin, and keep walking after the will of God.

Protected in Jesus Christ

As long as the new man walks after the Spirit and stays in Jesus Christ; the Word, he is protected and shall live and be led from his position in Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit.

But, as soon as the believer returns to his flesh and enter the spiritual realm illegally from the flesh; the soul, by using knowledge, doctrines, methods, and strategies, which derive from other people’s experiences or knowledge and use natural resources, then it won’t be long, before the believer will be attacked by evil powers and be controlled by them.

The result, as you also read in the previous blog post, is that you become lukewarm, experience lawlessness, indifference towards sin, acceptance of sin, living in sin, more interested in the world and the supernatural realm, than the things of the Kingdom of God and the Bible, lack of prayer, spending more time to ‘self’ and the things of this world, than to Jesus and the things of the Kingdom of God, being more focused upon supernatural manifestations and experiences, than the true Word of God, more focus upon signs and wonders, than leading a holy life and walk in integrity. The believer is worried, unhappy, unsatisfied, intolerant, restless, dejected, depressed, hears voices in the head, is overwhelmed by fears and anxiety, experiences panic attacks, anger, bursts of rage, an increase of carnal lusts and desires, sexual uncleanness, adultery, fornication, divorce etc. As soon as believers experience these things than evil powers are working and manifesting themselves in the flesh of the person.

Faith based upon doctrines, methods, and experiences of other people

We also see this in the Bible with the seven sons of Sceva, who belong to the vagabond Jews, exorcists.

Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded (Acts 19:13-16)

These seven sons of Sceva were exorcists, but they weren’t the new creation and didn’t know Jesus Christ personally. They were still the old carnal creation and were led by their flesh. They were sorcerers and tried to use and apply the same ‘method’ of using the Name of Jesus to cast out evil spirits and set people free, as the new creation, who are seated in Jesus Christ.

But they were carnal and not born again in the spirit and therefore they didn’t possess any spiritual authority in Jesus Christ. They tried to take authority over this spirit, by applying the methods of the new man.

They were still the carnal unspiritual old man, who lives under the authority of the devil. Therefore, how could they use the Name of Jesus and try to take authority over the devil and his demons, while they were subjected to the devil and his demons (fallen angels). They couldn’t, and that’s why the evil spirit didn’t acknowledge their authority and attacked them.

This also happens to many believers, who are still the old creation and stay carnal and keep living after the flesh but apply the doctrines, methods, and strategies, which they have heard during sermons, conferences, and seminars or read in books, etc. They have gained all kinds of information, that is based upon the knowledge, wisdom, doctrines, and experiences of others and apply this into their lives. Because of that, many have become, just like the sons of Sceva, a prey for the kingdom of darkness and have departed from the true faith of Jesus Christ.

A spirit of divination

If a person prophecies and reveal things about the life of a person or about the future, or perform signs and wonders, it doesn’t prove that these are coming from God, and are inspired by the Holy Spirit. Because if the person is not born again or keep living after the flesh in sins, then they are being led by their flesh and are being led, inspired and controlled by the kingdom of darkness.

In Acts chapter 16:16, we read about the damsel, who was possessed by a familiar spirit and was controlled by the kingdom of darkness. She was possessed of this spirit of divination, who controlled her life. In exchange for her soul (her life), this spirit of divination (familiar spirit), gave her information about the spiritual realm, which was hidden for others. Using divination, caused her owners with much profit.

Paul walked after the spirit and discerned the spirits and knew he was dealing with a spirit of divination, coming from the kingdom of darkness. After a few days, hearing this woman’s prophecy about them, Paul commanded the spirit to leave the woman in the Name of Jesus. This spirit of divination had to obey Paul, because he had in Christ, the highest authority in the spiritual realm, therefore this spirit of divination, obeyed Paul and left the woman. From that moment on the woman was no longer possessed and controlled by this spirit and didn’t have a ‘gift of fortunetelling’ (false prophesying) anymore.

Jesus says, that you will know the tree by its fruit (Mat 7:15-20). This is the only way, we can recognize and discern the works of the spirit and the works of the flesh. How does a person talk? How does a person live? What is the fruit, that the person produces in his/her life? Fruit of the Spirit or fruit of the flesh?

Therefore, stay sober and stay awake and watch. Don’t let anyone mislead and tempt you with enticing words, that deviate from the Word, spiritual manifestations, prophecies, signs, and wonders, that will cause you to deviate from the Word and the will of God and cause you to enter your own false path of life, that will lead to your own honor, glory, pride, and sin. Stay faithful to Jesus Christ; your Originator in life.
