What is the purpose of every believer?

Jesus has become the Living Word, Who walked upon this earth (Jn 1:14). He was the Firstborn of the new creation; the new man. By His work at the cross, He once and for all took care of the sins and iniquities of man and the evil sin nature of man. Everyone, who believes in Him and accepts Him as Saviour and Lord, will not only repent, but will freely give up the old man and its evil sin nature. By the baptism in water and the baptism with the Holy Spirit, a person becomes a new creation. When a person has become a new creation, the Holy Spirit dwells in the person. Now, the time has come, to feed the spiritual new man. So that, he will grow up and become mature and walk as a son of God.

This is the purpose of every believer: to become like Jesus and to walk as a son of God upon this earth. Jesus was the Firstborn of the new creation, Son of God, Who walked upon this earth. He has set the example for all the new creations, who would also be born of the Holy Spirit.

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist (Col 1:15-17

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven

Jesus not only represented, and preached the Kingdom of God upon this earth. But He also brought the Kingdom of God to this earth. Therefore, every son of God, who represents Him, shall do the same.

Circumcision, new creationWhen you have been born again, you have become a member and a partaker of the (spiritual) Body of Christ. You have become one through the Holy Spirit, with Jesus Christ and the Father.

Your purpose as a born again believer is to become like Him and represent the Kingdom of God upon this earth. You shall not only preach the Kingdom, but you shall also bring the Kingdom to the people.

If you are not born again, and you don’t want to become like Jesus, there’s no point in calling yourself a Christian or to visit the church or congregation. Because it doesn’t mean a thing.

You can regularly visit a church or congregation. You may be a member of a church, a partaker of communion, and keep Christian Holidays, but those things don’t mean a thing to God. It has no value at all. The only thing that matters is, if you have become a new creation in Jesus Christ. That you live in Him and do His will upon this earth.

A new creation

For neither circumcision is anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation (Gal 6:15)

If you don’t want to let go and put off the old man, and don’t want to put on the new man, your lifestyle shall in no means differ from the lifestyle of the world. There shall be no difference between you and the world. Therefore you shall live the same life, as those, who don’t know Jesus.

You’ll experience the same problems and go through them, the same way as the world, by murmuring and complaining. You shall seek for help and find solutions in the secular world. You shall depend and rely upon human institutions, philosophies, wisdom and science. Your trust and hope shall be in the world, and its system. Therefore you shall expect it from the world.

If you remain the old man, and keep walking after the flesh and visit the church or congregation, because you think that you will be saved by visiting a church, you will defile the Body of Christ through your lifestyle. By doing the works of darkness, you shall not only defile your own life, but you shall also defile the lives of other believers.

Know ye not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? (1 Co 5:6)

The purpose of every believer is to become like Jesus

But if you have truly repented and have given your life to Jesus and put of the old sinful nature, there’s only one thing you want, and that’s to grow up and mature, and become like Christ.

If you want to walk like Jesus Christ, you shall do what He did. You will believe in the words of God, accept them and apply them to your life. You’ll be a doer of the Word. You shall love your Father, and spend time with Him and shall walk according to His will.

Works Jesus ChristBut as long as you won’t listen to the words of God and Jesus. If you  don’t apply them to your life, than your mind and life shall remain the same. Even if you know the Bible by heart, and you can quote every scripture in the Bible, it doesn’t mean a thing. You stay the old man, who has the character and nature of the devil. Because you have the character and nature of the devil, you shall also do the works of the devil and do what pleases him.

The purpose of every believer in Jesus Christ is to become like his/her Master. The more you feed your spiritual man with the Word and the things of the Kingdom of God, the faster the transformation will be.

When you apply his words in your life and do what the Word tells you to do, than the spiritual new man will become visible in the natural realm. You will be transformed and become like Him. This purpose is not to some believers, but to all believers.

You shall do the same works as Jesus did, and greater works than He did, because He went to the Father. You shall never be above Jesus Christ, but you shall become like Him and exalt Him through your life.

The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord (Mat 10:24-25)
