Your faith and the way you walk depend on your love for God. Jesus says that the first and therefore the most important commandment is, to love the Lord your God, with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength (Markahan 12:30, Lucas 10:27). Sa kasamaang palad, many Christians are often more focused on the second commandment, namely to love your neighbor as yourself, and have often more love for the creations, than for the Creator. And that’s not all, this second commandment is often twisted and misinterpreted so that it causes spiritual passivity and acceptance of the works of the devil and the kingdom of darkness. But God, Si Jesus, and the Holy Spirit say, that everything begins with your love for God. When you love God with all your heart, you shall love your neighbor as yourself and by these two commandments, ikaw na nga ba fulfill the law (Mateo 22:40). Ang batas is not a list with a set of rules, which you have to keep in life in order to be saved, but the law represents God’s will and His nature. If you are Ipinanganak na Muli, and the Holy Spirit lives inside of you, then you have God’s nature and you shall automatically do God’s will. But it all begins with your love for God, and if your love for God is above the love you have for yourself and for the world.
Your actions determine if you love someone
Loving someone is not passive but it requires action. By your talk, walk, and deeds, you prove if you really love God and Jesus Christ and whether the Holy Spirit lives inside of you.
Sabi ni Jesus, that if you really love Him, ikaw na nga ba sundin ang Kanyang mga utos. Ibig sabihin nito, that you shall do, ano ang iniutos ni Jesus sa iyo.
Only when you keep His commandments, you shall prove that you love Him, and you shall walk in His love.
You can say that you love God and that you love Jesus, but that won’t give you access to the Kingdom of God.
Everyone can say that he or she loves God, but there are only a few, who can also prove it.
Only your deeds, actions and walk after the Spirit, show if you are born of God and if you love God with all your heart. Your works will show if you love God and Jesus above all.
Spending time with the person you love
There are many people, who say that they love someone, but their actions prove otherwise. If you love someone, you want to be with that person. You want to spend time with that person and invest in the relationship. You’ll listen to that person because you want to get to know that person. Sa pamamagitan ng pakikinig, you will get to know a person, and you will know exactly, what the person likes and loves and what the person dislikes and not loves.
You shall treat the person with respect and shall do what pleases the person. If you really love a person, you won’t do anything that will grieve and hurt the person and makes the person sad.
It’s the same with the sons of God. When you love your Father, you will listen to your Father and spend time with Him in prayer. You shall take His words and keep His words and apply His words to your life. Kaya nga, you shall walk according to Ang Kanyang kalooban.
You shall not do anything that will hurt Him or grieve Him and will mock and damage His Kingdom. You shall give up your own pleasures, mga pagnanasa, mga hangarin, and will for His will. Tulad ni Jesus, Who gave up His life to do the will of His Father.
Jesus loves God above all
During Jesus’ walk on earth, Jesus spent much time with His Father in prayer and stayed obedient to Him. Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit and didn’t rebel at any moment. Jesus stayedobedient even unto death. Jesus wasn’t influenced by the devil, by the temptations of the world, and by the people around Him. Jesus continued to fulfillGod’s plan for His life.
Was Jesus a wishy-washy, and did Jesus tolerate and accept every behavior and sin? Hindi, Jesus spoke with authority. He was straightforward and often spoke hard words to people.
Jesus could be very confronting, especially to the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Oftentimes people have the wrong image of Jesus. They have created an imaginary Jesus, who accepted all things, and every behavior, and was always going around with a smile on His face, while He was preaching.

Jesus was one with the Father, just like we are one in Him, and in the Father:
Upang silang lahat ay maging isa; as Thou, Ama, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that Thou has sent Me. And the glory which Thou gave Me I have given them; upang sila'y maging isa, even as We are One: ako sa kanila, and Thou in me, upang sila'y maging ganap sa isa; and that the world may know that Thou hast sent Me, and has loved them, as Thou has loved Me (John 17:21-23)
Sa pamamagitan nito nalalaman natin na mahal natin ang mga anak ng Diyos, kapag mahal natin ang Diyos, and keep his commandments. Sapagkat ito ang pag ibig ng Diyos, na sundin natin ang Kanyang mga utos: at ang Kanyang mga utos ay hindi mabigat (1 John 5:2-3)
Iniibig mo ba ang Diyos nang buong puso?
Jesus walked after the will of His Father because He loved and still loves Him above all. Jesus loved the Father with all His heart. And that’s where it all begins, do you love God above all? Or do you love yourself and your own life; your flesh and the world more?
